Ryan needs to be ousted as speaker.

Maybe I’m displaying my ignorance, but why not just put a simple bill up repealing the individual mandate and defunding Planned Parenthood, and then respond to the fallout as it comes?

They should be looking hard at AL Rep. Mo Brook’s bill.

The bill in a nutshell: “Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.”

Gives them till the end of the year (plenty of time, IMHO) to come up with a replacement. Hopefully the replacement will have minimal government involvement in our healthcare.

Pssst. Talks were never “stalled.” All fake news, trying to separate Trump from conservatives, and many here bought it.

I think this is true and was probably what DJT had in mind all along. Ryan had his chance and he blew it! Now the President and the FC can come up with a bill worthy of our support. Trump’s tweets were all about bringing the FC back to the table.

Lewandowski was on Hannity last night and he said two things. Ryan failed. And that the Freedom Caucus should have been part of the process from the get-go.

Perhaps he was speaking for Trump.

I hope so.

And put Lyin Ryan and Kevin Barely in the closet with each other. Leave them and the insurance companies and K street out of the process.

This is “winning”.

The back lash against the conservatives Ryan and the president expected never materialized but this stupid bills 81% disapproval did. Conservatives were right on in killing it!!!

Saw elsewhere that Ryan has announced they’re meeting again to try to get together on a bill they can pass. Looks like somebody reminded them of that George Washington revolutionary war quote “Gentlemen, either we hang together or else we’ll hang individually”.

Bet whatever they come up with relies a lot more on the reconciliation process now that we know it actually could have been used ...

Healthcare is the only sector in the economy that expects you to sign a blank check, hand it over and they’ll fill in the amount later. Fix that, and we’ll be on the way to free market reform in healthcare. Healthcare is currently run by liberal liars, shysters, thieves and pirates.

May we all just remind ourselves that the so-called "Affordable" Care Act was conceived and passed by individuals who, as "Progressives," longed for control over one-sixth of the American economy and believed that "health care" was the means by which they could accomplish that herculean task?

In other words, ACA was a vehicle for accomplishing the first phase of that takeover--a real Trojan Horse of the 21st Century.

President Ronald Reagan's wisdom and discernment of the purposes of such legislation could provide caution and an understanding for those Administrative and Congressional individuals looking for a right path today.

A "slippery slope" whose authors and promoters in the Congress and Senate have not been altogether trustworthy in protecting the limitations imposed on every American by their Constitution must be examined carefully in order to preserve liberty for generations to come. Reagan points out that "slippery slope" in a way that even constitutionally-illiterate Americans can understand today.

I agree - get Newt in the White House with Trump ASAP.

And get rid of Ryan - he’s NO leader.

President Trump, remember, it helps negotiations if you don’t Tweet insults to the folks you’re trying to work with.

I’m not holding my breath.

REPEAL must mean REPEAL, not “REPAIR” which is what the first bill did and went downhill after that.

Will be watching closely and staying close to my congressman.

Good, but there will need to be some things that some Republicans don’t want, like the refundable tax credit and retention of Medicaid expansion through 2025, for it to avoid being a poison pill for Republican Congressional majorities in 2018.
