But, but they said it was dead. LOL

Art if the Deal?

Walk out the Door and they chase you before you get the Elevator Lobby. It worked when Trump was trying to renegotiate the Loan on his Yacht.

The Bank refused so he threw the keys on the Table and told the Bank they owned it. What they didn’t know is that he threw his Car Keys on the Table.

I am beginning to think that Trump saying he would work with the Democrats to get something done might have lighted a fire under the Republicans.

Unfortunately, the RINO Republicans aren’t there yet. I would prefer to see the Freedom Caucus follow them into the Room, not lead the way.

Just another wait and see situation. Talk and NYT Articles are cheap.

Excluding premiums from taxes is still bad policy, so at best that should be synced with a fairly quick repeal for all tax wxemptuons on healthcare costs.

But the quislings are too sniveling and bought off by the insurance companies to do what is right and explain to thw piblic why it is needed.

Unless I luck out, and the odd, offhand, occasional payments I make into tax upon the mathematically challenged (aka -stupid tax) pays off first, in which case I will try to remember all you little (and smarter) people.

Oh I guess President Trump does know what side of the toast has the butter on it. He better know who put him in office.

You sound very angry. It might help you to regain some perspective if you remember many of the "true" conservatives were in the #NeverTrump camp.

It also may help you regain some peace if you remember that President Trump is dedicated to doing what is best for the American people--in a way you may like sometimes, and at other times not so much.

Maybe I’m displaying my ignorance, but why not just put a simple bill up repealing the individual mandate and defunding Planned Parenthood, and then respond to the fallout as it comes?

They should be looking hard at AL Rep. Mo Brook’s bill.

The bill in a nutshell: “Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.”

Gives them till the end of the year (plenty of time, IMHO) to come up with a replacement. Hopefully the replacement will have minimal government involvement in our healthcare.

It's already written. It's in committee. It's two pages long. All it requires is release to the floor for a vote. Thank you, Mo Brooks : http://www.al.com/news/huntsville/index.ssf/2017/03/rep_mo_brooks_files_bill_to_re.html

Repeal and replace with something looking like a free market, now, not after some future election.

How about just repeal? All the Republicans want that, at least they did last year. So pass what they can agree on...and agree to disagree on any kind of replacement?

I hope he’s saying something along the lines of, “You write it then, and make it something the moderates will also agree to.”

LOL! If they do that then the Freedom Caucus won't agree to it.

That way the Democrats have to work with the Republicans on the replacement.

Why?

“many of the “true” conservatives were in the #NeverTrump camp.”

I guess it depends upon what “true” is. To me, most of the #NeverTrump crowd were establishment Republicans (Bush and McCain) and those who depended on the big donors contributing to their think tanks ,foundations or advertisements on their shows. The only ones I considered “true” conservative in the #neverTrump crowd were a few one issue free traders and evangelical leaders.

To the free traders, I would say there is a difference between free trade and fair trade. For the evangelical leader, I would suggest you really should reconsider your past support for Bush if you supported him. Maybe you don’t feel comfortable voting for anyone and I can understand that.

I would also replace “many” with “some”.

Pssst. Talks were never “stalled.” All fake news, trying to separate Trump from conservatives, and many here bought it.
