There was a form of torture and eventual execution employed by Chinese authorities from about 900-1905. The formal name is lingchi, meaning death by a thousand cuts. The victim being put to death did not expire immediately, but instead bled to death very slowly and excruciatingly.
Lingchi describes what is happening to Western European nations. They are slowly dying because of Islamist terrorists’ thousand cuts.
But it is clear that, although the nations of Europe receive cut after cut, most of the leaders of those nations, as well as the leaders of the European Union, still will not acknowledge that Europe is being bled to death. That is because they will not or cannot diagnose, much less get rid of, the ideological disease that causes internal bleeding.
They do not comprehend that importing surgeons of death hidden among millions of immigrants is a recipe for national suicide. They also don’t realize that dealing with one wound at a time won’t staunch the hemorrhaging. Examining the latest wound and waiting for it to scab over while the next one is being inflicted will not heal the bleeding body politic.
Nor will the same, tired and futile political placebos offered as palliatives for the latest wound -- like the attack in Great Britain -- actually deal with the underlying problems. Candlelight vigils, lighting up landmarks with the colors of the flag, speechifying and rationalizing terrorist behavior will never, ever deal effectively with the knife wielding inflictors of death and destruction.

Great sentence...but it contains a somewhat common error.
Staunch should be stanch.
The change in Europe is a self inflicted mutilation. It is why NATO is now an outmoded, obsolete concept. Mothers in Kansas will not tolerate the sacrifice of their sons to defend such an entity.

No, the islamic terrorists are a symptom of the disease, not the disease itself.
Europe is dying because they abandoned faith in God. That spiritual sickness caused their culture to degenerate, which caused their people to stop breeding enough children to replace the population, which caused their godless leaders to import the muslims in a vain attempt to prop up their failing socialist pyramid schemes.
Most all of their problems began when they rejected God and the traditional Western culture that was built on the foundation of belief in God.
Islam is destroying Europe
Hillary would have invited into the USA Islam as in millions of Muslim “refugees” in like Merkel did in Germany.

Also enjoyed picking this new word up from the article--lingchi. As a writer that is one apropos word I WILL be using. Of course it will be sending the attentive and curious ones to dictionaries ;D.

The verb "stanch" has a lot in common with the adjective staunch, meaning "steadfast." Not only do both words derive from the Anglo-French word estancher (which has the same meaning as "stanch"), but the spelling "s-t-a-n-c-h" is sometimes used for the adjective, and the spelling "s-t-a-u-n-c-h" is sometimes used for the verb. Although both spelling variants have been in reputable use for centuries and both are perfectly standard for either the verb or adjective, "stanch" is the form used most often for the verb and "staunch" is the most common variant for the adjective.
So there are one of two truths here. Either the author is HIGHLY sophisticated regarding his understanding of the USE of the word(s) OR he is highly unsophisticated. haha. A small but poignant detail regarding these two words and their usages.
I think the author just made an error. I have seen that error on many occasions and have almost made it myself.
