Stephen Lemons, of the Phoenix News Times, reported that about 40 or so assorted anarchists and members of various left wing groups gathered across the street from the state Capitol on Saturday in opposition to a pro-Trump rally openly armed to the proverbial teeth.

While it is not unusual that wanna-be para-military lefties should arrive at a pro-Trump rally with menacing faces, clenched fists, and nasty rhetoric, this is the first documented case that I’m aware of in the recent spate of protest, counter-protest movements that have swept this country, since the inauguration, that included a leftist group brandishing firearms.
There are those who might be tempted to make light of this, as it seems that in this case these gun-toting were simply taking themselves way to seriously.

Leftists with guns always turn to violence. It’s their nature.

This is why owning firearms does not make you a threat. You have to train to become a threat. I suggest everyone do just that.

This reminds me of an incident 30 years ago in NC where some leftists decided to teach some right wingers a lesson.
It seemed the white trash types were better shots than the left wing trash.

It’s real. There’s a prolonged Periscope video following & interviewing them. Most were silent, most wore brown shirts (historical reference) or similar guerrilla gear, most were masked, most were armed, and a few spoke on their behalf ordering the videographer to leave.
The really weird part was they gave no indication of their purpose.

Marching in paramilitary attire while masked & armed, giving no explanation, constitutes “brandishing” in my book.
I like how their banner says “Folks of Color.” Very folksy.
Having no other claimed or apparent purpose, their only rational conclusion is their intent was to intimidate.
Check out the ginger neck beard in the shemaugh. Is that an antifa bib he’s wearing? They must have been planning a hummus feed after posing with the Soros-supplied evil black props.
Series, never underestimate the enemy. But this is hard to take series. Viewing that photo makes me expect either a Phish or Indigo Girls concert to break out or for them to break out their hacky sack balls.

The red bandanas are easily seen at distance, well beyond the effective range of many of their carbines and shotguns.
Notice all if the red bandanas and crosses on the bodies and gear? Unit ID. That represents at least some tactical training g. Hummmm...
