Dems Make Strategic Healthcare Plan for 2018 – Sanders Will Lead on “Single-Provider” Proposal…
The Last Refuge ^ | March 26, 2017 | sundance

Posted on 03/26/2017 8:28:10 PM PDT by Bratch

Well, don’t say we didn’t predict this reality.  The Democrats are smartly not waiting for any recovery efforts by Republicans; and immediately following the failure of President Trump’s healthcare repeal and replacement approach, Senator Bernie Sanders begins putting their ‘single provider’ alternative together.

(Story Link)

The strategy is, unfortunately, brilliant.  When Obamacare further collapses, and all Americans are being further crushed by the skyrocketing costs, at exactly the moment when the American electorate are at their most frustrated and everyone is in crisis mode – whammo, here’s the solution.

All of the previous opposition to single-provider has been kicked out of the Democrat party.  [Blue Dogs Dispatched] The DNC will unify, as one single voting bloc without a single representative in divergence, behind the Sanders proposal.

As ObamaCare explodes, the factional infighting between the purists in Hillary’s Favorite Republican Caucus and various GOPe proposals will continue.  Directly into this void of leadership will flow the single-provider plan, just as the Democrats and the coordinated media messaging tell the American electorate the solution is right there:

“Medicare for all”.

The only thing the voter needs to do is get rid of the intransigent republicans and give them back the house in 2018 and maybe the White House in 2020.   The Democrat call will be for a deafening mandate. Every activist and social justice group will respond to the thunder-drums.

In the unseen background, the activist Labor Unions will go along with the Democrat plan.  So too will Tom Donohue and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (GOPe).

AFSCME, SEIU, AFL-CIO will go along because employer removed health insurance premium costs leave more room for lucrative labor contracts.  Tom Donohue will go along because the cost of Healthcare will remain off the ledgers of multinational Wall Street corporations and global bankers.

The Health Care providers and networks of Big Health Care and Big Pharma will go along, because the Democrat plan will apply the same approach as the Industrial Military Complex to Healthcare.  Expansive crony-healthcare contracts provided at the public coffers, with unlimited taxpayer financing therein.  Everyone can get rich.

Promises of big multi-billion dollar government contracts will go to those within the industry who will sign up to help the DNC execute the 2018 election plan.  Billions will be spent with projections of hundreds of billions in later returns on investment.

This is the extremely predictable end result of the opposition put forth last week by Hillary’s Favorite Caucus HFC (aka House Freedom Caucus).

I hate democrats with the force of a bazillion super-nova’s, because their schemes are infinitely easier to pull off than oppose.  However, this ‘Ice-Cream-For-Dinner‘ was entirely predictable.  Thanks to the #NeverTrumpers, this was almost too easy.

Once the government is responsible for providing all the care,… well, a few decades from now, our kids will meet “The Minders”.

…"That was easy… Now, let me tell you about Muh Constitution"…

Will the populace fall for this crap?

IF they are led to believe that someone else will pay for their healthcare and/or premiums will stop going up 20+% a year (mommie may 'em stop) ... then yes ... many Americans will love such a plan. We have generations of youths that are becoming adults who have been brainwashed.

Class warfare is still alive and well and at times is even visible at this site ... as class warfare is not limited to the left side of the political spectrum.

“Complete unconstitutional government takeover of healthcare as a necessary step to complete abandonment of the Constitution and government takeover of free enterprise.” That’s been the plan all along. Obamacare (”Obamabuse”) was just meant to be the midwife to give birth to this monstrosity.

And with what happened last week, the gopE is posturing to make that happen. I can't believe after all this time and votes to repeal obumber care, they had absolutely nothing to offer. Trump should have put his own plan together and gave it to congress to slice-up.

Isn’t sanders a socialist and not a democrat?

If I were republican i would merely point this out and flagellate every democrat who signs up for a non-democrat solution to a democrat problem. it would be a gigantic lapse in leadership— no, it would be a transparent fig leaf to a bad idea.

Single payer will destroy the medical profession.

The medical profession is the US has already been drug into the gutter with very few practitioners actually rendering a professional service to anybody anymore. Their veracity is heavily in doubt.

Single payer will drive those seeking medical consultation to Mexico.

I will bet a beer to anyone here that they will eff up the tax overhaul also.

I would not touch that bet, even if you give me 10 to 1 odds. I think it is a forgone conclusion at this point.

Doubtful. New hospitals are popping up like weeds in my area of Florida. The quality of medicine will deteriorate but the medical corps will make trillions of single payer.

It doesn't matter.

We have both Houses and the presidency and this won't go anywhere; certainly NOT in '18!

Obama already STOLE almost a TRILLION ( maybe more, by now ) out of Medicare, which can't support those already on it. People on Medicare now, have paid into it ALL of their working lives and once on it...STILL HAVE TO PAY INTO IT; it ain't "free"! And it doesn't cover all that much,m which is why people by supplemental insurance. Even with both of these things, doctors get extremely little for office visits and procedures.

Stupid snowflakes and the gimmedats don't know anything about anything. And apparently, YOU are having a problem digesting this.

No.

Insanity is voting like an ASS for republican congressmen and thinking they will make conservative decisions.

Many asses here, including me.

People will be so frustrated that if it will slash costs, like my wife’s post cancer treatment, many who would never have been open to it will be because we could no longer wait on the RINOs ####ing around with our health.

Brilliant plan if you ask me

What a shame.

Not really. The doctrine conservative folks who don’t have personal association with the pain obamacare is inflicting right now have no clue.

The fact is the full obamacare subsidies only kick in for people making basically no money in states that did not expand medicaid. If you have income anywhere close enough to live off obamacare will hammer you. The guy who does my lawn now has $5,000 in premiums for a useless $5,000 deducible plan for him and his wife.

Naturally working class folks being reamed by obamacare for 30% or more of their monthly income will take the first train out of obamacare hell. They don’t really care who is driving it. Sadly, that will now not be conservatives after the freedom caucus abandoned POTUS.

No it won’t, because single payer won’t cover all of the expensive things, at the price that is being charged now.

Sorry, “something” is going somewhere before the midterms. Fortunately, the arsonists in the freedom caucus won’t be anywhere near whatever health care bill that might be.

>AHCA was a slower train to the same destination.

Yep, but it gave us time to get 8 more GOP senators for a full repeal. Now we’re going to get single payer thanks to all the line in the sand idiots out there. Heck, we almost got with Obamacare, since every business wants out of providing health insurance but the insurance. Another 2 years of Obamacare and people will be screaming for it.

He was claiming that Trump was going to pull down 73 million votes....he was sure of it & never let up on it. He was ten million off as we know. He’s a good blogger by & large, but no one is perfect.

There weren’t 51 votes in the Senate for Ryancare.

We need more than 8 to overcome the Democrats in R jerseys in the Senate.

The Tea Party predicted that Obamacare would self destruct. They knew that Obamacare was designed to fail so that the Single Payer solution would be rolled out to the American people who were in such a panic that they will willing to accept anything.

When the Republicans failed to come up with a solution to replace Obamacare, they set up the nation for Obamacare to go bust and the nation willing to accept any solution when it does. The Republicans think that when it goes bust, the American people will be willing to accept any plan they come up with. The Republicans think it will be easy to pass whatever bill they want at that time. However, this is a big gamble because in the meantime, they may have lost the House and the Senate. What will be left is to kick Trump out and move on with their plan for Single Payer.

With Single Payer, we will go Communist. The Dems will tie healthcare to every thing we do and use it to control our lives. It will also end the two party system because the Republicans will lose their reputation with the American people. The Dems will use it to cement their hold of power for generations.

Don't bet on that.

"Something" may, or "something" may not; however, there's NO WAY that "single payer" is going to be passed nor work, should it EVER get installed.

Nobody in government will EVER be made to be a part of it, the wealthy certainly shan't, the upper middle class will find a way around it, and the government doesn't and won't have the money to pay for it..............EVER!

>He’s ok. He sometimes can be bombastic & overwrought....like here.

He was right about Trump winning when you all thought he was a joke. He’s right about this as well. Politically it will work due to simplicity of the narrative and the failure of the GOP to provide a solution.
