Actually the PPACA began as a House bill that was completely unrelated to health care, if I remember. The Senate took that bill and changed it completely, so they always had the ability to go back and say that it originated in the House.

Technically, yes. As an amendment, but the goal was for the Senate to vote first (not according to the Constitution).

It was nothing but majority party trickery - something our side is wont to do under any circumstance.

I think we should round up every one of these parliamentary trickery bastard politicians and string them up.
