PETER HITCHENS: There's one thing that may stop these 'terror' attacks-but no one wants to know
DailyMail.com ^ | 3/26/2017 | Peter Hitchens

The more we boast about how calm, tough and united we are, the more we prove it is not so. The official response to Wednesday's events looked like panic and over-reaction to me

Just as in the days after Diana died, we have become a nation of unreasoning weepers, laying flowers, lowering flag and lighting candles, and congratulating ourselves on how wonderful we are, while not thinking at all....

I suspect there is a large minority, perhaps a majority, gritting its teeth and stifling dissent-for fear that a temporary dictatorship of grief will punish them......

...many of these actions are committed by criminal misfits with long histories of theft, petty violence and drug abuse.

The Nice killer, a drunkard and drug-abuser who never went near a mosque was one such. The Berlin truck-driver was an arsonist, thief and bar-brawler. The Westminster killer was another lowlife jailbird, who had been in prison three times for (among other things) stabbing a man in the face...

...A former school friend says he began to go downhill after he started smoking cannabis in his teens.....

...said by some who knew him to have been a bodybuilder, so he may have been taking steroids-these powerful mood-influencing drugs were also used by the Norwegian mass-murderer Anders Brevik, the rampage killer Raoul Moat and the Orlando mass-killer Omar Mateen........

Does the Prime Minister actually think about what she says? On Wednesday, just after noon, she told the House of Commons: "I would like to express my condolences to the family and colleagues of the former Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland, Martin McGuiness."

Standing in the same place less than 24 hours later, she said: "We are not afraid, and our resolve will never waver in the face of terrorism."....

“Keep Calm and Carry On sloganeering” is fine when you are actually doing something about the problem. IE, actually fighting a war.

What’s going on today is a kind of retroactive suicide by the West. A suicide where we merely wait for the next terrorist attack without saying what needs to be said and taking the necessary actions to stop it for fear of not being politically correct or hurting people’s feelings.

A constant defensive posture regarding the matter only goes so far.

With their booze, drugs and porn no doubt they would probably find some ‘common ground’ with a lot of those terrorists.

To stop Muslim terrorism, bury the perps in pig’s blood. They are a superstitious bunch.

When its kill or be killed, and it hasn’t come to that in my life yet, that’s what I’ll have to do.

Both my workplaces could be potential targets and with firearms not carried by employees I guess I’ll have to ‘improvise, adapt and overcome’ in traditional USMC language.

One good thing I can do is to show up at work without being ‘drugged up’ with any kind of intoxicant, legal or illegal.

My heart breaks to realize some among me are in that situation.

And prohibition worked so well

Drug use age by the average junkie usually only kills themselves

I’m not a prohibitionist, but I agree with the notion that these matters are linked.

The best solution is left up to the individual.

But my experience as a drunk says don’t resort to intoxication with anything, illegal or legal.

In fact, it says don’t take the ‘first drink’ of anything.

Death of myself is very possible and the deaths of others are also possible.

The same weepy, flowery, candle vigil nonsense happens here all the time now.

I went to a 9-11 candlelight vigil (first time ever), expecting fist-in-the-air-trampling-out-the-vintage rhetoric. What I got was a bunch of Kumbaya, touchy-feely and "poor us". It was the most goddam maudlin event I had ever been to - just a meaningless feel-good demonstration that IMO, enforced the feeling of helplessness.

I know how you felt.
I attended a religious dialogue event where a Muslim explained Islam to priests, Ministers and an audience mostly Christian, about how Islam was a peaceful non threatening religion.

The audience lapped it up, and when I started asking probing questions and citing uncomfortable facts about Islam I could sense most of the audience was not happy- I felt they were there to have their naive feel good opinions about Islam supported by the Muslim speaker.

I came away from that meeting discouraged because I sensed the shallowness of us Americans in dealing with a problem. - Tom

Reminds me of the Muslim suicide hotline joke.

A Muslim is manning the desk at the local suicide hotline. Someone calls up feeling most depressed and decides to call the suicide hotline in desperation. After the muslim patiently listens to the distraught caller he finally asks “What’s your vest size?”

or alterative punchline...

“Can you drive a truck?”

Hashishiyya...the name of the secret society of killers has given us the word assassin, one who kills for fanatical or monetary reasons, and its offshoots assassinate, the act of killing suddenly and treacherously, and assassination, the murder of a prominent person.

Their name, Hashshashin, is derived from the Arabic hashish (the concentrated, intoxicating resin of the Indian hemp plant) and the accusation made by European Crusaders that the fierce warriors made liberal use of the narcotic effects of hashish to achieve their courage and to eliminate their fear of death.

>> I suspect that 99-percent would all fit into the loser category.

Amazing Islam’s conquests given it’s propelled by losers.

My point was simple plenty of allies and junked out there. They usual kill themselves not others. Almost none of them get worked up about politics except to have an issue to drink about

Terrorists. Islamists on the other hand like killing

Drugs have as much to do with it as would Sarah Lee Frozen Pound Cake. Losers? All Muslims are losers. They follow a creed of sexual depravity and murder laid out by the ultimate loser Mohammed. Their societies are failures. They produce nothing of value, they're hostile, dysfunctional, murderous and breed like rabbits. If it's a drug analogy you're after than consider that if religion were truly the opiate of the masses Islam is heroin.

Good idea. Cowboys and Muslims. - It hasn’t been played
yet. - My great-great grandfather was a lightkeeper on the
Tennessee River back in the day when all sorts of ruffians
lurked around those river banks. They’d just as soon shoot
you and leave your dead body lying behind a bush after they
robbed you. - He carried a Smith & Wesson revolver in a
nice leather holster & they knew he was not afraid to use
it. I have it now, and I’ll use it. - Fang is proud of
being good with the crossbow. I’m not stout enough to have
any accuracy with it. The Smith is self-aiming. My dad used
to pour bullets for it at the kitchen table in a bullet
mold. Melted the lead on the stove. - These damned
Dhimmicrats want the Muzzie vote. They have “bodyguards”
and “think” they’re safe like most rich people do.

My dad was a combat veteran of WWII (N. Africa, Italy &
Germany). Shell shocked all to pieces by the end of the war.
He commented on the very long line of dead bodies of Jews,
Christians and others that they saw piled 10 feet high at
a German camp they entered at the end of the war. The Nazis
tucked tail and ran when they heard American combat boots
marching in the distance. I suppose the ovens were backed up by that time. - American Jews are spoiled by Communist
(Socialist) lies. The Muzzies are going to find themselves
arrayed against a terrible force led by a very powerful
Jew where only one-sixth of them will be left standing.
Soon.
