Los Angeles has blocked airport police and firefighters from co-operating with federal immigration agents.
The latest directive is the city's most aggressive bid yet to oppose President Trump's tough crackdown and protect illegal immigrants from immigration officials.
Mayor Eric Garcetti declared it was 'un-American' to 'demonize' their neighbors simply because they are foreign, as the city beefed up its 'sanctuary city' status.
The Los Angeles Police Department already prohibits police from asking for the legal status of a suspect even if they have probable cause.
'In Los Angeles, we don't separate people from their families because it's inhumane,' Eric Garcetti said on Tuesday.
'In Los Angeles, we don't demonize our hardworking neighbors just because they speak another language or come from another country. That's un-American.'

Maybe President Trump should block federal officials from co-operating with the airport. Oh, wait, that would shut down LAX entirely - no flights in, no flights out, no luggage screening, no passenger screening.
So the Rats can disregard the law? Arrests should be made.
I suspect a fair amount of cooperation will be discreetly going on anyway, whether the Sanctuary Mayor approves or not.
At least I hope so.
And if one of those “immigrants” hijacks a plane and flies it into downtown L.A.?

Garcetti should be arrested by federal marshals and thrown in jail.
Meanwhile, something like 90 - 95% of the outstanding murder warrants in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
That's a good thought, maybe not the whole thing at first, but targeted on things or functions that are of particular importance to the city and the Mayor.
No big deal, they can get all the Hollywood types with pilot's licenses (like Harrison Ford) to fly the planes. No need to screen passengers or baggage anyway, since that's racist.
Is our Justice department preparing a lawsuit against these law breakers?
Didn’t Obama’s Justice Department actually successfully sue Nevada for attempting to even help enforce immigration laws under the theory that its a Federal matter? How then could there be any chance its legal to hinder the enforcement of immigration laws by for a city in California?

That's my suspicion. Local police, even private citizens, are going to ICE and telling them where the invaders are. It does seem that ISIS has been doing quite well finding them.
