Woman Suggests All Stay-At-Home Mothers Should Be Forced To Work, Because Feminism March 24, 2017 FeminismMediaSJW18 Comments4 min read Sarrah Le Marquand, a columnist for the Daily Telegraph in Australia, thinks that all stay at home mothers should be forced to work, by law.

“Only when the female half of the population is expected to hold down a job and earn money to pay the bills in the same way that men are routinely expected to do will we see things change for the better for either gender,” says Sarrah in her opinion piece for Rendezvous.

While using the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) as a source, Sarrah argues that by law, stay at home mothers should be forced to work.

“Rather than wail about the supposed liberation in a woman’s right to choose to shun paid employment, we should make it a legal requirement that all parents of children of school-age or older are gainfully employed,” claims Sarrah.

When it comes time that forced abortion be mandatory it will be feminist leading the charge.

From the earliest days of the feminist movement each change in society they have managed to accomplish has weaken our society.

There was a time when marriage was a true partnership, each partner had a role to play with the primary goal of raising children. The father worked to earn money to support the family while the mother worked to maintain the home and provide the emotional support children require to grow into healthy adults.

The snowflakes generation is the result of the breakdown of the traditional family.

You hit the nail on the head. Just from my experience, most (OK all that I know) wives of high income men have careers. Rich people can’t seem to have too much stuff. I’ve noticed that the new “trophy wife” has a trophy career, physicians seem to be at the top of that list.

FWIW, this has nothing to do with liberals vs conservatives. Among university academics (pretty much all liberals) stay at home mothers are common. They’ve seen the research.

feminism, or communism, what’s the diff?

Interesting comment.

Very close to the fundamental root of why radical feminism is so loved by the left.

Peel away the thin layer of SJW feminism and you find a totalitarian...

Forced equality, forced labor, forced indoctrination, No deviation from ideology beliefs.

In a nutshell marxism...

Anybody remember the romanian orphan tragedy after communism fell in Romania ?

We have already been there, done that...

Stay at home mothers do work, the only difference is that the get something real accomplished and the government gets no tax money from them.

I know a guy who sat down with his secretary once and did that study. She was married with two kids. They ran through their household income and expenses and at the end of the day, with gas, business clothes and daycare, she was raking it in at just above minimum wage.

Stay at home moms enjoy the benefit of the 2nd amendment.

Not in Oz (Australia) from whence this broad hails.

You know that’s another thing that’s sacrificed for two jobs, time with the family.
Stay at home moms get everything (shopping, cleaning, home repairs etc.) done during weekdays. Not only does the family sit down to meals together, weekends are freed up. Going fishing together is no problem.

Familiar only in knowing that it's currently headed by feminists who want to try social experimention just or the sake of destroying the current family model...just because they don't like what's worked well for thousands of years...

That’s dang straight we work.

We do for no income what we would otherwise pay for.

We’re the accountant, the cleaning lady, the baby sitter, the dietician, the laundress, the tailor, the doctor, the cousellor, the teacher.

If I had to hire out each of those jobs I doubt I could earn enough in a year to have any money left over for me.

So why is it more honorable or respectable when someone from the outside comes in and does it for money than if I CHOOSE to do it myself and LIKE it and WANT to do it.

Whatever happened to feminists being for “choice” anyway? Why should I be a slave to a job for THEIR agenda?

Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own body like they keep telling me, after all?

Idiots........

Yes, I love it when able-bodied Medicaid moms proudly say they’re a “stay at home mom.”
Yeah, on my dime. They are shameless. Same EBT people who are the only ones in the grocery store to load their carts with massive amounts of expensive meats.
Families who pay their own way and decide it’s important for the mom to stay home, I’m all for it plus it’s none of my business anyway.

So this idiot is not "pro-choice" for work? But I'll bet she's pro-choice for abortions.

She apparently doesn't realize that stay-at-home moms work harder than some outside jobs they could get.

And if it was mandatory for all women to work at a job in the workplace, where are all these additional jobs that don't exist now, going to come from?

Governments mandating anything distorts the marketplace and doesn't solve any problems. It only makes the people proposing them (in this case this "feminist") feel good about themselves.

You sound like one of those rebellious conservatives who needs to be put in a forced labor camp.

Since that is currently not a political option, your globalist masters will try the next best thing by importing more third world immigrants to drive down wages, drive up taxes and dilute your vote with more liberals. :->
