The Republican and Democrat parties are essentially a bad unibrow with one distinction: Whereas Democrats lie in pursuit of their goals, ideology, and objectives, Republicans lie in pursuit of … the other side’s goals, ideology, and objectives.
One of the most indelible moments in recent political history, etched in the minds of voters who detest Obamacare, is when Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared, “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it.” Now, with a GOP that has made it clear they want to preserve Obamacare under the dastardly lie of repealing it, they have come full George Orwell circle, and are repeating the same mantra. Facts and details don’t matter. Drafting errors don’t matter. Adverse selection, insolvency, and political suicide don’t matter. Cause and effect market responses don’t matter. Yet, before the bill was pulled, Rep. Chris Collins, (R-N.Y.) an ardent proponent of amnesty, said “once we get it done, then we can really explain what’s in it.”
Thankfully, this travesty was finally pulled from the floor. But the lies and principles behind this bill, culminating with Rep. Collins literally echoing the modus operandi of Nancy Pelosi, demonstrates that we don’t have a party that represents our views.

Obamacare/Trump/Ryancare is NOT healthcare; it is putting a financial GUN to our heads in order to FORCE us to buy INSURANCE.
That’s the bottom line for me.
It’s utter corruption and banana republic tactics.

The lesson is take out Ryan just like Trump did and don’t listen to Levin’s 1D chess moves, Trump is playing 4D chess.
What’s it going to look like as a practical matter if/when we get an “Obamacare is erased” bill?
There is such an infrastructure woven around this monstrosity. Will that come down and be rebuilt in a day?
What do we do with existing coverage policies?
Doctrinaire has to meet practical in order to get something that will actually work.
It’s a taaaaaaaaax.
Like it or not, America slouched into that. Now the only question left is what to do with the taaaaaaaaaax.

As the great Ronald Reagan used to say: “Government’s not the solution to our problems, they ARE the problem.”.
There may also be some undue influence from the West Wing, however.
Why do we need a replacement? Can’t we repeal it and let things go back to the way they were?
There is not a trace of Constitutional authority assigned to any branch of government to dictate to an American citizen in choosing and paying into their own healthcare any more than there is to choose what clothes we wear or what car we drive. None. Nada.
Yet, here we are....
I think Trump is playing “rope-a-dope” with Ryan, and the GOPe.
He pushed them out front, Paul “Obama” Ryan polished up Obamacare, and gave us the “take it, or leave it” approach. We left it.
Now, anything the RINOs come up with is DOA. Their credibility is shot!
Meanwhile, Trump should EO ALL waivers, and let Obamacare crash and burn. It will “self-repeal”.
Ryan has permanently outed himself as a team player with this “my way or the highway” approach of another “you’ve got to pass it to see what’s in it” boondoggle.
as long as Ryan is Speaker he will torpedo everything Trump tries to do..the HFC voted for this clown too so they shouldn’t be able to hide either. Trump can’t be this stupid and must know this so we will see what happens
