A survey of University of Texas undergraduates reports that 15 percent of women reported being raped on the flagship Austin campus...It has long been known that sexual crimes are under-reported. Staying true to that, 68 percent of participants in UTs survey said they had never told anyone about being victimized before. Only 2 percent of those who did said they told police. Most turned to a friend. Of victims who disclosed they experienced unwanted sexual contact, 69 percent of them said they had used alcohol or drugs before the incident.

I’m surprised it’s that high. Those UT tramps give it away for free. /s
UT women are liars who got drunk and then had feminist thoughts
Here’s an idea, don’t get drunk and high.
**
Yep.
Seriously? They had better know long before 18.
“Raped”, because “Regretted Having Sex While Drunk” just isn’t a sensational enough headline.
Did the survey ask how many different genders they were raped by?
I had to read all the way through the third sentence of the excerpt to find out.
2% of the 15% reported to Police. But, hey, “1 out of 350 female students at UT” is not as flashy a headline.
My girlfriend has gone back to school. She says it’s a whole new world out there.
The kids she’s in school with have group sex while in high school.
A survey in college asking if one were raped almost seems prudish compared to what she’s been told by her classmates.
How many involved the use of a weapon or the threat of real physical violence?
“I had sex with a guy once when I didn’t really want to. I showed a little reluctance, then decided I would do him a favor”.
“That was rape”.
“I was drunk and did these 3 guys once.”
“That was rape”.
Thanks for your response.
With more and more “foreigners” on our college campuses, I do think the rape risk is increased. Some of the young women just don’t have their guard up. And don’t realize that even their classmates can be a danger.
The “fad” of spiking drinks maybe more prevalent than people realize.
TV used to be rife with cautionary tales, after school movies, and medical/police TV melodramas on this subject. That kids these days can escape such inundation seems unlikely. Maybe there are simply so many more choices in TV, video games, etc. than when I was a teenager that they really can go to college ignorant of such information ?
And there are *absolutely* people on campus...lesbians and others...who would be thrilled to announce that 98% of all college women in the country have been raped.
“So this includes any sex when at least one person is too intoxicated to consent.”
Is that .08 or .25% ?
If she slurs a word, does she have to put her panties back on?
I suggest that as long as she is conscious, she has made an adult choice.
Besides, drunk girls are usually a lot more fun. And, oh, if you have daughters, tell them not to drink. They tend to lose their panties that way.
I’m a fraternity adviser.
That’s probably close to being right.
Also, the number of guys who get raped by other guys.
“Is that .08 or .25% ?”
Depends on what you are trying to get away with.
If you are just trying to get away with fornicating, you probably won’t get into much trouble with the law these days.
But consenting adults is a man-made standard of morality. Sex outside of marriage is something God said He will judge:
Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
So, when you stand before Almighty God on the day of judgement, I suggest that you be totally innocent or have a really good Attorney.
As an adult, I never drink anything unless I unseal the container. I keep the drink in my hand, and keep a sharp eye out for anyone close to it.
Sounds a little over the top, but it’s just common sense and easy to do.
If there’s any question at all, get yourself a fresh drink and toss the old one.
If I were a woman, I would not allow a man to go get my drink for me. I’d get it myself or take a pass on drinking.
As for drinking, I think women are safer not to. Never drink without a co-pilot. Make an agreement to stay by each other all night. Don’t fail to follow through.
If you think your friend is too intoxicated to be alone with a guy, don’t let her be alone with a guy. Stay by her side, and let him buzz off if he can’t agree to it.
That’s sexist.
How many men think they were raped?
Or they're just plain lying and were never even kissed, let alone ...
