Discussion About GOP Replacement to Paul Ryan as Speaker Intensifies in White House, Congress
breitbart.com ^ | 3/24/17 | Matthew Boyle

Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.

Ryan was caught on an audio file from October—obtained by Breitbart News and published a couple weeks ago—saying he is “not going to defend Donald Trump—not now, not in the future.” While the audio file does not make the comments clear, Ryan’s staff later claimed that it was specifically about the Access Hollywood tape scandal from the election. The audio tape of Ryan, recorded from a House GOP members’ conference call, does not make that context clear.

Many allies of the president and several White House officials over the weeks since have confirmed to Breitbart News that the president is concerned that Ryan may not have his—or his agenda’s—best interests at heart. Ryan’s failure to deliver the votes on healthcare cement Trump’s skepticism of Ryan, they say.

No House member would ever vote for a non-House member to be speaker! Theoretically possible or not!

They still pretend?

Someone said we need a third party today.

I’m still looking for the second one.

The interesting thing is, the Speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House.

With that in mind, some have suggested former speaker Newt Gingrich.(God knows, with the way he met his current wife, the Dems would immediately tie him to Trump...)

But I've a better idea.

What Republican can you think of is a a strong populist, an advocate of cutting back the size of government, and got screwed by the Dems?

Why, none other than our beloved Sarah Palin.

The reasons to pick her fall into one's hand like ripe fruit off the vine.

1) She puts an end to all the chant of "GOP's war on womyn."

2) Her signature line, though not even hers, got hung around her neck by Tina Fey: "And I can see Russia from my house." Just think, she was on the lookout for Russia even before the Dems thought of it!

3) She was VP candidate under McCain. After the combined backstabbing of her by Romney's people (Steve Schmidt) and McCain combined, it sure would be sweet revenge for the person McCain snubbed to be elevated to a more influential position than his.

I don't expect this to fly, really. But it sure would tweak all the right people in all the right ways, while Trump continues to drain the swamp!

How is her husband Todd doing, as far as his recovery? There’s a reason she’s not been part of the administration to date, I believe she couldn’t have accepted. Trump doesn’t forget loyalty, unlike certain crabby back-biters out in Arizona. There’s a place for her if she wants one, in my opinion. Speaker of the House would be awesome and a very Trumpian thing to do, not that he has any sort of final say in the matter.

Toughy Todd has fully recovered. I’ve seen pics of him/them, out and about...here, there and everywhere. They both look great.

“Trump gave Paul Rino enough rope to hang himself.”

almost the exact words I sent out to my little email list of folks I help keep informed:

“So, was President Trump’s apparent support of the outrageously terrible RyanCare bill simply a ploy to give
Ryan enough rope to hang himself and get rid of him?”

Lou Dobbs said tonight that the Koch brothers were going to spend for 500 million to defeat this Ryan bill. Somebody’s a lot and richer tonight aren’t they?

Because they get their funding from Koch brothers. Bought and paid for fake conservatives.

“”Ryan totally blew the mandate we voters gave the republicans to repeal Obamacare! He should resign and the republicans should elect a speaker with the determination to do whatever is necessary to repeal Obamacare and then get on to cutting spending, cutting regulations, cutting government and cutting taxes (rinse and repeat)!

Drain the swamp and MAGA!!””

Very well stated and should be repeated. Thank you Jim

Sheesh...I find myself on the side of the Koch Brothers and the Dems as it relates to Ryan Care.

It is quite disturbing.
