The organizers of the Make America Great Again march and rally, Saturday, at Bolsa Chica State Beach are crossing their fingers and hoping for a peaceful event.
The march – in support of the president, military, first responders and certain causes – is being billed as a kid-friendly family-oriented event. But it takes place in climate where stark divisions in the public have led to a number of high-profile confrontations when supporters and detractors of the president collide.
March organizer Jennifer Sterling said she expects at least 3,000 participants many of whom, she says, will be women, children and elderly. “I really hope these people are safe,” she said
The event that coincides with a nationwide effort the same day in more than 30 states and Washington, D.C. Although the title of the march carries President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, Sterling said it was more about patriotism and appreciation for those who serve.

IF you want to go as a Trumps supporter the recommended attire is a hard hat and a wet suit or a hazmat suit.

I don’t know why you would say that. I attended the Trump Rally last April in Costa Mesa, and law enforcement did an excellent job*.
The Orange County Sheriff Dept. was there on horses for example.
Both Huntington Beach city and Orange County can exercise jurisdiction at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
*Several were arrested at Costa Mesa, all of them anti-Trump rioters, vandalizers, violent actors.
Admit, I don’t know Huntington, but Berkley and many examples of cops standing by while anti-Trump or anti-conservative speakers demonstrators/audiences have been attacked. And, yes, although I was born and raised in CA, I am biased against the socialist republic.

Orange County is not Berkeley. I was at the rally but got away quickly before the violence started. But the cops handled it well.

I got that, I explained my bias which I believe is accurate more often than not. Apparently not in this case.
I won’t be there tomorrow. Those big crowd things are too intense for my old bones. However, barring health problems with my wife or me, I will do my best to attend the May 18 Larry Schweikart event in Los Alamitos.
