Polls: Ryancare Even More Unpopular Than Obamacare and Hillarycare
Breitbart ^ | 23 Mar 2017 | Neil Munro

Multiple polls show that the GOP’s Ryancare healthcare plan is even more unpopular than the perpetually unpopular Obamacare plan or the Democrats’ 1993 “Hillarycare” plan, says FiveThirtyEight.com, which analyses polls, surveys, and data.

The GOP overhaul “is much more disliked than the ACA [Obamacare] and [President Bill] Clinton’s health care reform bill were when they were first introduced,” the site reported. March 23. “Across nine surveys, the [American Health Care Act] has garnered an average of just 32 percent in favor compared with 45 percent opposed.”

Chris Stirewalt, Fox News Politics Editor, just referenced this approval poll and told a sad Staurt Varney that Republicans need to let this bill die.

“It’s a dog. Let TrumpCare die”, is what he said...and, that only 17% of Americans approve this plan....even the ones who wrote it don’t like it.

And, that “it is being carried out with the grim enthusiasm of the fuel dirge.”

😳

This statement makes no sense to me. Is it Fake News?

Obamacare has a proven record of higher and higher costs, higher deductibles, with more than 20 million with no coverage. There are fewer doctors, fewer options, and fewer people who can afford the procedures they need. We were lied to about being able to keep our doctors. We were lied to about being able to keep our plans. Now they are all gone!

We have few if any details on how the new health care plan will really work, other than unsubstantiated claims that it is bad!

Republicans have an astonishing capability to stick their heads up their cans: they have run on repeal ... not rePEEL ... moreover by trying to do repeel in the same legislation as repeal they are dooming the effort on top of that.

They need a clean repeal bill, citing the lies used to get ACA done the way it was, first with no effort to repeel as part of it. This should happen on schedule even if no subsequent repeel happens.

Republican voters would love to someday get something other than Democrat-Lites who do the same things that Democrats do ... but only with minor differences!

Well, Ryan didn’t make Trump come out singing its praises. Trump and Pence have done that on their own!

"Ryan must be removed as Speaker. He is a worthless piece of dung."

Trump has lost his mind. Fox Business reported that Trump said Ryan should stay as Speaker even if the healthcare bill is voted down.

I find the newbie fanbois pushing this bill here on FR to be a most interesting phenomenon as well.

Ah yes, the polls. They proved so right about the Trump victory.

Of course, it doesn't help when you have Reps badmouthing the bill. Sabotaging the Trump Presidency will ensure that the Reps are the permanent minority party. Ryan will no longer be the Speaker of the House and McConnell the majority leader in the Senate. The Dems will regain control and will have no problem exercising the power to govern, unlike the GOP that feels better as the minority. Then they can criticize the Dems and support proposals they know will never be enacted.

Seven years they sponsored resolutions and bills to repeal Obamacare. Now that they are in power, it can't be done because a vocal minority has decided it is their way or the highway. The result will be that Obamacare remains in place for at least another year or longer. The consensus will grow larger to mend it, don't end it.

Ronald Reagan: “if they offer you half a loaf, what do you do?” And his answer was, “you take half a loaf and then you come back for more.”

NONE of that matters to someone who could get coverage under Obamacare but would lose it due to pre-existing conditions under Ryancare.

People facing death (being uncovered with a condition) really do not give a whit about the constitution, the GOP, free market principles, MAGA or what anyone else has to pay. Without coverage for ANY pre-existing condition, even the fairly conservative people I know will fight this turd like they would a carjacker or rapist - to the death.

They gotta pass it so we will know what’s in it, right?
I guess I should have followed that sentence with a /s. It was in memory of Pelosi’s famous statement.

It’s been my view that Ryan put up this POS knowing Trump would almost have to get behind it for several reasons. What l’m not sure of is whether Ryan thought it would pass. I do believe Preibus was behind making this the first thing on the agenda.

Say what? Trump takes counsel from lots of people. In this case he took it from three uniparty backstabbers—and followed what they recommended.

Since then, he has said that he followed advice that he wishes he hadn’t followed.

So he made a mistake? Hmmmm.

Look, if the average Freeper knew this was a stinker from the outset, then why didn't a President?

Because despite being president he is human with blind spots.

Also, he has been an advocate at different times of completely nationalized socialism, so he clearly ain’t a Freeper in understanding on some key issues.

Is Paul Ryan deliberately sabotaging the Trump presidency? It appears his Ryancare bill was meant to fail.

No, I think he and his backers want it to pass.

What Ryan's bill does is keep the national health care system of Obamacare but changes how it is paid for from premium subsidies distributed through the exchanges to "refundable tax credits" distributed through the IRS.

The goal of Ryan's globalist business backers at the Chamber of Commerce and elsewhere is to have nationalized health care in some form in order that businesses eventually can get rid of having to provide health insurance benefits to employees. But all that is going to happen down the road, the important thing now is to preserve a federal government system of health insurance until they can get a Democrat or a Globalist in office.

Well he was supporting something even more heavy duty than Obama Care during the campaign, so I guess in his eyes, this is an improvement. But poor Ryan. Trump is there backing this 1,000% and now is trying to through Ryan under the bus.
