Over the years I’ve seen it explained that certain unaffected strangers have a psychological need to become part of the narrative of high-profile news stories involving death.
It sure seems like these types have multiplied greatly over the past 10-20 years. I think it’s the same mindset that is all for big government social programs. They can “care” without having to do anything real.
