A Texas high school anatomy teacher has been arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student.
The Lockhart Police Department said 27-year-old Sarah Fowlkes of Lockhart High School "engaged in sexual contact" with a 17-year-old male student earlier this month.
Police told NBC Austin affiliate KXAN Fowlkes turned herself in on Monday and bonded out later that day.
Fowlkes' attorney Jason Nassour said, "You've got a young lady who was arrested on the statement of a 17-year-old kid with no corroborating evidence."
Nassour said his client is smiling in her mug shot because she is innocent.
He added that "this isn't a guilty person sitting there like they just got caught. When everything's fleshed out it won't be as it appears."

I only wish we had had teachers (bitches) like this when I wuz in schrool...
I guess it’s just me, but if I were wrongly arrested, then smiling wouldn’t be on my mind. I’d be ticked off about what the next several months might do to my family and career.

If the boy was 13 or 14, I’d say hang her. He was 17 and knew exactly what he was doing. still, she should be fired and barred from ever teaching again. She blew it...so to speak.

Even if she was innocent of the charges (which I doubt), she was foolish for smiling in light of such serious charges.

I truly hope that she didn’t engage in any improper conduct with any student. I don’t understand the ones that want to ruin their careers and lives by being with teenage students.
Tom Delay looked spaced out, detached from reality and deep in denial, just like she does.
We still need a Tom Delay type in the GOP today. Trump, Cruz, Spicey and KellyAnne can’t do it alone.
