House Intel Committee Dem Member: GOP chairman's revelations were 'trumped up'
The Hill ^ | 03/22/2017 | Max Greenwood

A Democratic member of the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday pushed back on revelations from the panel's Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), saying his claims of incidental U.S. surveillance of members of President Trump's transition team were "trumped up."

"If, in fact, this took place, it was incidental and it was done through what is legally allowed by the CIA when they are surveilling foreign persons," Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) said during an appearance on MSNBC.

"This could be a lot of theater – it looks very trumped up to me – but we'll have to wait and see," she added.

Speier slammed Nunes for apparently routing Democratic members of the committee on Wednesday when he revealed that he had evidence that the intelligence community collected information on members of the Trump transition team.

Nunes said the information was incidentally collected amid routine surveillance of foreign targets.

The Intelligence panel chairman broke the news at a press conference earlier in the day and said he briefed Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) before meeting with Trump at the White House.

The GOP chairman never discussed the revelations with the rest of the intelligence panel, Speier said, and Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the top Democrat on the panel, expressed "grave concerns" about the chairman's handling of the investigation Wednesday.

“Incidental” is the word DuJour.

It was just a ‘incidental’ that information was covertly collected on a private US citizen (who happened to be running for president) and distributed among intelligence agencies (per a brand new rule that allowed such a distribution), to be illegally leaked to the press, who ‘incidentally’ used the info to buttress a charge which ‘incidentally’ supported the core strategy against candidate mentioned above.

He said, he said...

So here’s what let’s do: Convene that committe permanently for the duration. Form a line outside the hearing room and call every damn one involved up to testify or re-testify. And this time (Gowdy!) ask the right damn questions!:

1. Did you unmask General Kelly?
2. Did you share any information with members of the press?

If the answer is no, we can say that person is not responsible, but if evidence to the contrary ever turns up we’d have evidence of them committing perjury and off they go to Leavenworth.

“Incidental”

The fact the community maintained the records for distribution is a very strong indication that Trump was being targeted.

President Trump is being proven right again.

Nunez said that his information had nothing to do with Russia, so it was outside the House Intelligence Committee investigation

They’re in panic mode now. This may extend as far as Bill Clinton’s clandestine meeting with AG Loretta Lynch.

I would like to see the basis of the warrants or Fisa warrants they have for what they were investigating when they “accidently” surveilled Trump and his staff.

Is the suspicious pinging of a server in Trump Tower the pretext to surreptitiously surveil?

Question .... Have they looked for evidence of surveillance at Mara Largo?

‘Wire-tapped’ is an archaic word for Electronic surveillance.

For those who recall Watergate you will remember the drip, drip, drip of news. It was maddening. Now the Democrats know what it feels like as their dreams and fabrications are blown to smithereens. “The moving finger having writ....” The pages of a secret history that has been written are slowly being turned. and now the presumption of guilt is the sword of Damocles that hangs over Barrack Obama’s head. Who will be his Howard Dean?

They spend most of their time and OUR money investigating each other and calling each other liars.

And they wonder why people hate both parties. To hell with the whole lot.
