“And President Trump is threatening any Republican who votes against it.”

_____________________________________________________

I’m not so worried about the Republicans who vote against it as I am worried about the Democrats who vote for it.

Let this sink in a moment. Why would dems vote for RyanCare?

Because they know - as do conservatives everywhere - that RyanCare will doom the Trump presidency.

Does this sound like Trump who makes it a point to take the lumps out?
Could the MSM be winding us up to pressure & delegitimize Trump yet again?

Yeah, I think I going to go on something more official than stuff supposedly said in a closed door meeting.

Really? You must remember that Trump was making this threat 2 weeks ago. So this is the second time Trump has promised to “get” conservatives.

This is the second time this morning in two separate threads I’ve seen someone confuse Paul Ryan with Rand Paul.

FWIW.

I will take door #1 as well. Bannon could be drowned out, especially concerning social issues.

Also Trump support(ed) single-payer and the Heritage Foundation came up with the idea of this same type of mandate in the Republican 2.0 version back in the late 1980s to counter single-payer (Of course the individual mandate would replace the employer mandate) so their is that angle.

No, unfortunately it ends the ability of the Christian Healthcare Ministries to act as an insurance vehicle which many were utilizing to avoid Obamacare.

“Maybe the long journey starts with one small step? If this is the case though, Trump ought to say so.”

I agree that’s the way our national healthcare policy needs to evolve from where it is now. Our federal healthcare policy is extremely complicated and a tweak of a knob can translate into billions of dollars and a lot of unhappy loudmouths.

Trump hasn’t spoken in detail about the current proposal. He’s keeping his distance from the details.

You could say there’s not enough consensus now to have something with wide enough support to become law.

If that’s the case then let the brawl continue. Is Trump handling this properly? I don’t know. We’ll see.

I wish the POTUS had not done this.

I wish he would have saved the arm twisting for the wall or other issues. I don’t think #Winning #MAGA has room for spending enormous political capital on crap like this.

I would love to see President Trump stand by what he campaigned on. He really needs to repeal and replace Obamacare instead of wrapping a tourniquet around it and declaring it in phase 1 of 3 of being fixed while his credibility bleeds through.

No, that isn’t what it means.

Christian Health Ministries act like insurance. They were given an approval under OBamacare..meaning they qualified for the IRS rule.

They were not tax deductible...even for self employed..who can deduct health insurance.

Thanks for the info. THAT is outrageous.

Do you have a link? I’ll look for one, but I’d like to contact WH/Congress on this....and would like to be armed with info :)

Originally the republican standard was repeal obamycare. Repeal and replace was a trump plan that started during the primary. This is largly his fault. He won’t accept a clean repeal without “taking care of people”

Laura Ingraham asked a Freedom Caucus member this morning point blank if they were being threatened. He said no.

You quoted my comment about Senator Paul, but then went into remarks about Paul Ryan.

So, apparently, neither of us is confused. Good.
