The White House press secretary has always been a spin artist. Spinning is not lying, Clinton press secretary Dee Dee Myers once said, but rather "marshaling the facts in service of an argument."

How Sean Spicer the media lost his its credibility
To: SoFloFreeper
Oh they love spin when it’s done by fellow liberals in service of stuff they agree with.
To: Popman
WRT Brit LBGTHQ, denial is not a rebuttal. They need to prove the negative...

The day that the White House spokesman tells a reporter, who in times past, had an editor as a tough mentor, to use a thesaurus, without a poignant response from the reporter, solidified his credibility in my household.
To: Terry L Smith
What happened? I must have missed that episode.
To: SoFloFreeper
Who says he’s lost his credibility? Not to me, he hasnt.

(Conservatism is truth. Liberalism is lies.)

From the article:
" 'He's venturing into Baghdad Bob territory', one White House reporter said, referring to the Saddam Hussein spokesperson known for his vociferous denials of what to everyone else was reality. " This from the lapdog media which ate up every scrap of excrement dished out by Obama's people, and loved it!
Whenever an Obama lie was exposed, the media's immediate response was, "Oh, never mind" and dropped it down media's memory black hole, before switching to more happy talk about "who we are".

"marshaling the facts in service of an argument."
There was no rearranging facts that were out of order, Myers just flat out lied/obfuscated. In her defense she probably positioned herself to have plausible deniability in order to ease her conscience. If I worked for administrations/congress that would be my first strategy.
