The vote was 54-57 even though Madigan has a veto proof majority in the House, I'm guessing some downstate and suburban Dems voted the right way on this one. I'm still trying to find a roll call vote. Looks like the sponsors of the bill were mostly black RATs from Chicago.
On the other hand, two days later in the year, and four thousand miles to the west, Little Boy's birthday deserves recognition as a signal American achievement. He worked as designed without so much as a test!

As for his being CIA, they’d never confirm it even if it were true. Besides, if they have paid assassins, they’ve sure done a lousy-ass job over the past 7 decades. Think of all the trash that should’ve been taken out (and should be at present) and haven’t.

In the true Obama spirit of “the laws don’t apply to me”, they should make his birthday a holiday from laws. Where all laws are suspended for the day.
Of course, it would just be another day in Chicago where the laws are mostly ignored, anyway.
