Chuck Schumer: Senate Shouldn’t Vote On Neil Gorsuch While FBI Investigates Trump

WASHINGTON ― Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) wants the Senate to delay a vote on President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick as long as Trump’s campaign remains under investigation by the FBI.

Democrats have struggled to come up with a cohesive strategy on how to handle the vote to confirm Neil Gorsuch, whom Trump picked in January to fill Justice Antonin Scalia’s vacant seat on the high court.

On Monday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed in his testimony to Congress that his agency is investigating ties between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

“There is a cloud now hanging over the head of the president, and while that’s happening, to have a lifetime appointment made by this president seems very unseemly and there ought to be a delay,” Schumer told reporters on Tuesday.

The only reason Gorsuch has a chance to win confirmation now is because Republicans refused to even hold a hearing for President Barack Obama’s nominee after Scalia died in February more than a year ago. Obama’s pick, Merrick Garland, went through all the motions of meeting senators, but Republicans refused to consider him because Obama was going to leave office in a little less than a year.

Trump needs to address Comey statement that he is under investigation tomorrow. He needs to get Ben Ginsberg and or someone on the hunt against a sitting Senator who is up to his eyeballs in an attempt to take down a sitting Senator.

The Dems are so brazen and think they cannot get caught. Comey thinks he and his lies cannot get caught.

Trump needs to hold a press conference tomorrow and tell everyone he is not under investigation. However, others are under investigation for sedition and leaking classified information.

Trump cannot let this stand. Comey stated on Monday that Trump was under investigation. Whether it's true or not, Trump should not be under investigation. As such, those that are conducting and promoting the false investigation, need to be investigated for corruption, NOW.

Trump needs to address this NOW and he will. Schumer, Pelosi, Comey, et al are colluding and leaking false information, unauthorized investigations against a sitting President and they need to be called before congress to explain their collusion and insurrection against a sitting President of the United States.

Chuck Shumer slipped with a warning to Trump when being interviewed by Rachel Maddon on Jan 23 that he was colluding with the CIA to take down Trump.

The phony FBI investigation about trumped up fakenews should be dropped and directed towards Hillary, Soros and all of their ilk who have committed sedition, treason and espionage against the USA.

They all need to be arrested, given a speedy trial, their assets seized (especially Soros and the Clintons) and the appropriate punishment applied.

Schumer's plan is designed to have an investigation that takes at least 8 years to hamstring Trump.
