South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday questioned Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch about what it would take to impeach President Trump.
The Republican senator used a portion of his time for questions at the Senate Judiciary Committee's hearing to probe Gorsuch about the impeachment process.

The United States Constitution does not provide for nor authorize the recall of United States officers such as Senators, Representatives, or the President or Vice President, and thus no Member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States. The recall of Members was considered during the time of the drafting of the federal Constitution in 1787, but no such provisions were included in the final version sent to the states for ratification, and the specific drafting and ratifying debates indicate an express understanding of the framers and ratifiers that no right or power to recall a Senator or Representative in Congress exists under the Constitution.
Senators are representatives of the States to the Congress.

McCain and Graham are deep into this tampering effort, and for good reason... they have a lot to hide regarding their entanglement in Ukraine corruption.
Unless and until SC closes their primary process, Graham sits in that seat at his leisure. Dems cross over in drives on primary day to keep him in office.
He always gets his backside beaten by registered republican voters, but SC dems know they will NEVER win in the general so they keep Graham in office by queering the primary because it is open.

The States must initiate the removal
Unfortunately, that's unconstitutional. The only way a Senator can be removed is by expulsion from the Senate. It's in Article I, Section 5 of the United States Constitution.
In the entire history of the United States Congress, 20 Members have been expelled: 15 from the Senate and five from the House of Representatives (of those, one member's expulsion, William K. Sebastian of Arkansas, was posthumously reversed). Because the bulk of the expulsions were expulsions of Southern sympathizers during the American Civil War, 19 of the 20 expulsions involved a member of the Democratic Party, with the only exception pre-dating the founding of the modern political parties. Censure has been a much more common form of disciplinary action in Congress over the years, as it requires a much lower threshold of votes to impose.
