I think we're at the point a little spark will suffice. Picture in your mind hunters with rifles and gun hobbyists going medieval on those already on the "list."
It won't take a lot of death before they sue for peace.

Absolutely! People are uneducated about primaries as they are about everything govt and political ... thinking that they are elections - THEY ARE NOT!
A century ago party candidates were chosen in smoke-filled rooms by sleazy politicos as the conventional wisdom states. Progressives conceived of a system by which the voters selected the party's candidates by popular party vote -- by party vote! One registers as a member of that political party and that allows them the privilege of selecting their party's candidates.
Parties are private organizations - not public government organizations. To open the voting to everyone simply destroys the political party structure! If Repubbies do not nullify open primaries then they are surrendering to defeat to anti-Constitutional carpetbaggers!
