The FBI is investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with a covert Russian operation to interfere with the election, FBI Director James Comey told Congress Monday — and he refuted the president's baseless claim that his predecessor wiretapped his communications.

That would not be a crime.
If the democrats want to impeach Trump they have to prove that Trump participated in the hacking of the DNC, which took place before Trump was even the GOP candidate.

The fact is Comey was never asked directly: were Trump’s wires tapped? It was couched as: did Obama have Trump’s wires tapped.
They think they’re slick, but no one is buying their theater anymore.
Someone needs to tell Comey the story about the little boy who cried wolf too many times.
I’m really getting the feeling this guy is a psychopath. Something is just all wrong about him. What it is I don’t know but my gut is rarely wrong. Maybe a little paranoid sometimes but rarely wrong.
My gut has told me this about Snake Comey from the first time I heard him speak. Glad to know I’m not the only one!
We don’t know what PDJT’s plans are or why he ever kept this creep on. I can only hope that he was not fooled by him, and has some ulterior masterful plan. So many “swampers”, so little time....
Comey could have just been hiding behind the term “wiretapping”, even though Trump put the term in quotes, meaning surveillance more broadly.
And if the FBI had an investigation going on about this since July, then they very likely had ongoing surveillance, approved from the top.

Trump made a YUGE mistake in not showing Comey the door on day 1. Trump would have had support among the Democrats to do it too because they were ticked off over the October surprise. My only thought is that Trump felt Comey was hampered by the Obama Administration regarding prosecuting Hillary and felt he did what he could to let people know of her crimes. Now he stuck with Comey because it will make him look guilty if he fires him.
Hard to believe not one of the Republicans could think to ask such a simple question.
comey basically said “I have been presented with no evidence to support that claim” (That trump’s wires were tapped)
It’s important to point out that comey used very specific wording- so as not to box himself in IF evidence should surface-
Just because he supposedly ‘hasn’t been personally presented the info’ doesn’t mean that info doesn’t exist- He did not say “I can declare that trump’s wires were never tapped”- That would be an absolute- a declarative announcement-
What he did say was that he ‘has not received’- again- just because he hasn’t received does not mean it doesn’t exist-
It remains to be seen what evidence trump has- and whether he has delayed presenting it if he has it in order to allow those who doubt him time to make fools of themselves—

THERE MUST BE NO INVESTIGATION OF OBAMA SPYING, becuase there is no evidence of Obama spying.
There is no evidence of millions of illegal votes. There must be no investigation in to illegal votes because there is no evidence of illegal votes.
There is no evidence Trump colluded with the Russians but there must be endless investigations because there is no evidence.
It was Comey’s use of “those tweets” that stood out when I heard the ABC radio news blurb about the hearings. He’s doing some kind of narrow parsing but the press is interpreting him broadly.

Also, Trump has a “one free bite at the apple” M.O. He tends to let turds self-flush. This way, he minimizes the credibility of accusation that he was not fair.
He was like that in real life too. Whatever the Trump “reality” shows were, with someone getting fired weekly or whatever, the real story often had Trump trying to help a weak case get back on its feet before giving up on it.
This is not “Mission Impossible” Freepers.
The NSA records every call and every computer interaction made across the country from their data centers. There are no “in” office bugs anymore.

Meanwhile, if anyone on the left had ANYTHING real on Trump prior to the election, there is no way they would have let it slide.
How many times do we have to be subjected to innuendo without proof?
Arrest Comey and his Deputy Director for multiple crimes and put them on very public trial. This will drag the Clintons and Podesta right through the mud, as well as many others, because they are so tightly bound together in crime.

They cannot possibly report the news without injecting their own bias. A reporter would probably write, “James Comey refuted the president’s claim...” NBC just had to inject “baseless” into it.
nbc ... fake news and the truth is ... the info is classified and only a leak would provide any information as to the truth ... maybe nbc is claiming they received a leak?
