Is one of the U.S. Senate’s top Republican squishes on his way out in 2020?

Rumor is, Senator Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. is considering retirement. The 76-year-old moderate has served as governor of Tennessee, secretary of education under President George H.W. Bush, and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002. He has run for president twice.

Were Alexander to run for and win reelection in 2020, he would be 86 at the end of his term. But should he choose not to, former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning has been mentioned as a potential candidate.

Manning would clean Alexander or Corker’s clock.

Wipe the floor with their RINO a$$es.

One woulda thunk that it was dangerous to elect someone whose first name is pronounced “LAM-er”.

“Alexander is hated among conservatives for his RINO stances.”

Two things that are worse. Lying about what you support. I recall Free Republic posts of him running ads saying he was against amnesty right before his last primary. The second is attacking conservatives more than liberals.

Peyton Manning Boards the Trump Train

This article is from Jan. of this year. So I suspect he was a Johnny come lately, very lately.

If you’re in Tennessee, a name to watch is Joe Carr. He’s a conservative candidate that tried unsuccessfully to Primary Lamar on the last go-around. He did well in the middle of the state where his name is known (has held state office). I would like to see him run against Corker in the primary, or replace Alexander. Both need to be replaced.

Good old Larmar. I can still remember when he wore those flannel shirts and pretended that he was a populist.

Ever since he was a part of trolling Ann Coulter at a roast for Rob Lowe I’ve had no respect for him. It was a complete set-up and Manning is a complete douche.

I dont know about his political intelligence.

But...one does not make it to that level of professional sports without having a great memory and an understanding of tactics. When you come up to the line and you have to decide what you are going to do in the next few seconds...and then be able to switch instantly; that takes some mental power.

He’d be a Bud drinking RINO probably and it wouldn’t take long for him to be embroiled in a sex scandal considering his history.
