To some extent, I agree with her.

The federal government should have no role in abortion, pro or con. Roe v. Wade was decided incorrectly, as there is no such right in the Constitution, but a nationwide ban on abortion would also be constitutionally incorrect. It is the proper role of the states to make any decisions on abortion’s legality.

The moral decision is to ban abortion, or not to have one even if it’s legal, but that’s not a national decision in any case.

"...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" (Amendment V)

Pretty clear, I think. This constitutes a Federal abortion ban.

So would you use the same logic in regard to slavery? Meaning that the moral decision is to ban slavery, or not to have a slave if it’s legal, but that it is not a national decision in any case?

I think it is sad when a national government has to do what people should choose to do in the first place on their own, but if those people, or their states, can’t choose to not murder babies, then the national government MUST act for it is otherwise a complete sham.

It's not a "ban on abortion" it is defending the principle that "we are endowed by the Creator with inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Murder is already "banned." . .is that "constitutionally incorrect?"

One of the primary purposes of the federal government is to protect innocent human life. Abortion is murder.

If your position were correct, then a federal ban on slavery is also Constitutionally incorrect.

The federal government is charged with requiring that each state remain a republic. A state in which people are allowed to murder their children is not a republic.

Yeah, worked great for slavery when they "sent it back to the states to decide". Things went just peachy in Bleeding Kansas. The 13th amendment was out of line!
