Donald Trump took on Sen. John McCain's status as a war hero and won the GOP nomination anyway.

Spicer took an extraordinary position Wednesday, saying anyone who questioned the success of the raid in Yemen that led to the death of a Navy SEAL was doing a disservice to the SEAL's memory. The target was McCain.

I thought it was his aircraft that accidentally detonated the first explosive, making everything catastrophic.

Anyhow, he hasn't been working for America in office.

And 86 percent of Republicans told Gallup in 2008 that they believed McCain is a war hero.

I also believe he is a war hero--for the North Vietnamese. He crashed four planes and put an aircraft carrier out of action, nearly sinking it.

McCain was a propaganda tool for the North Vietnamese and is now for the PROG press that uses him when it suits its purpose. I appreciate his time in service but not his trading on it throughout his political career, kinda like Kerry+++ and LBJ.
I have known a few WWII veterans who were captured and none of them put on airs of a hero because they were a POW.

IT'S OK, You are probably a hard working person who is too busy to catch more than a few sound bites off the radio on your way home. God bless you because most Americans are exactly like that as well, and behind it all the propaganda MSM is working 24-7.

Problem is, it's like driving a Q ball into a rack. You never know what is going to happen.

Neocon McCain made Obama the winner.

Too bad he was never that tough against Obama, because he was afraid.
McCain’s family were big slave holders in the deep south, with many African Americans named McCain. He was afraid to criticize.

Good morning Christian Patriots,

Why is it that we yell, “DRAIN THE SWAMP” at president Trump, but we lift not a finger of our own to drain the swamp by riding the US Congress of Chellie Pingree, Angus king and the infamous republic hater, Susan Collins?

Why is it that we yell, “LOCK HER UP” at president Trump, but we lift not a finger of our own to prosecute Chellie Pingree, Angus king and the infamous republic hater, Susan Collins for crimes against humanity?

In James chapter two we read: “If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, ‘Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled’, yet, notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?”

Would not James say today, If you say to your brother, Drain the swamp, or lock her up, yet you, who has to the power to do both, do nothing, what good are you?

Is it not time we put our actions where our mouths are? Is it not time we take the actions necessary to insure that Pingree, King and Collins can no longer pollute the swamp?

President Trump has no power to remove King, Pingree and may God forgive us for ever electing her in the first place, Collins. But you do.

Each man and woman must draw his or her own mental line in the sand, the line in which no mortal may cross.

We in Maine are blessed with a section of our Constitution that gives us the authority to drain the swamp while at the same time not limiting us in the way we do it.

“All power is inherent in the people; all free governments are founded in their authority and instituted for their benefit; they have therefore an unalienable and indefeasible right to institute government, and to alter, reform, or totally change the same, when their safety and happiness require it. ”

This section allows us the freedom to use the ballot or the bullet or anything in between.

"I’m sorry I voted for this slimeball Manchurian Candidate."

Voting McCain in 2008 was a bridge to far for me. I simply could not bring myself to vote for then Mr Amnesty and now Mr ISIS. McCain is pretty much wrong about EVERYTHING.

mclame’s “I’m a Veteran...Love me” card is beyond it’s useful date. The guy is a pathetic excuse for a senator. I’m a Veteran too...so what?

"To the Vietnamese people and the government of the DRVN: From John Sidney McCain, 624787, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy, born 29 August, 1936, Panama, home state Oregon. Shot down 26 October, 1967, A-4E aircraft. I, as a U.S. airman, am guilty of crimes against the Vietnamese country and people. I bombed their cities, towns and villages and caused many injuries, even deaths, for the people of Vietnam.

I was captured in the capital city of Hanoi, while attacking it. After I was captured, I was taken to the hospital in Hanoi, where I received very good medical treatment. I was given an operation on my leg, which allowed me to walk again, and a cast on my right arm, which was badly broken in three places.

The doctors were very good and they knew a great deal about the practice of medicine. I remained in the hospital for some time and regained much of my health and strength. Since I arrived in the camp of detention, I received humane and lenient treatment.

I received this kind treatment and food even though I came here as an aggressor and the people who I injured have much difficulty in their living standards. I wish to express my deep gratitude for my kind treatment and I will never forget this kindness extended to me."

(Don't know if this is true or not)

McCain is no war hero. He betrayed his fellow POWs and earned the name “Songbird of the Hanoi Hilton”. He is also responsible for the deaths of over 160 fellow seamen when he nearly destroyed the USS Forrestal, earning his other nickname, “Johnny Wetstart”.

“I have known a few WWII veterans who were captured and none of them put on airs of a hero because they were a POW.”

I go to church with a gentleman who parachuted into Normandy with the 101st. He was captured and sent to a prison camp in Poland. They were liberated by the Soviets. They had to walk 700 miles back up the path the Germans had invaded and retreated, then walk down to the Black Sea. They were given nothing by the Soviets. Had to scrounge for food the whole way.

He is 95 and still golfs weekly. You would never have a clue about his war exploits.

I voted for McCain as a vote against Obama....as a no vote or a 3rd party would have guaranteed Obama.

He was guaranteed anyway....but no one knew that at the time.

I only voted FOR 2 presidents. Reagan and Trump. The rest were just voting for the lesser of 2 evils. They include Nixon, Ford, Dole, McCain, Romney and Both Bushes. I held my nose more times than I want to think about.

The “SONGBIRD of the Hanoi Hilton” according to many residents thereof while there !! Had he not been the son of a U.S.Navy Admiral , he’d been dead long ago...

John McCain's songbird recording has been recently found, it was "misfiled." What does that mean?

YOUTUVE- John McCain "THANKS" the NV for their treatment of him as Americans were the wartime Agresssors

He's a low-IQ war hero with a penchant for being on the Democrat's side when Americans needed him to be standing with Republicans.

So these days he is an ex-hero who abandoned his post all the time leaving Republicans more unable to swing anything to the right.

Well, being an OLD vet, I will admit McCain did put his life on the line when he flew into NO Viet Nam and got shot down. He was injured, as a lot of POWs were. BUT, since the day he was released, he’s been shooting his mouth off about his heroism. I truly believe the reason he ran for president, he would outrank his father and grandfather who were admirals. He does have a very opinion of himself. OH, he’s also a sore loser.
