I think the federal government should stick to their appointed duties , this is a states issue, and besides , the government has no business searching without reasonable cause , regardless of the noble cause and good intentions......the federal government is outa control

The fact that most companies now require drug testing is reasonable cause to assure that they are ready and able to go to work.
The fact that I agree with your last point does not negate my belief that getting fired or laid off is not an invitation to a drug-addled vacation. As long as my taxes are going toward paying unemployment that is good cause to do drug testing.
In fact, add drug testing for welfare and section 8 assistance while we are at it.
The States get most of the welfare money from the Feds who get it from the People - until we make huge changes over a time, it is only right that the Feds now stop blocking drug testing by the States before giving away our money.
So the Federal Governments only purpose is to hand out money with no oversight beyond collection of said money? What could possibly go wrong?

They should start testing the welfare recipients.....way before the unemployed. As usual, their priorities are screwed up.
