Interestingly, Doris Kearns Goodwin was very positive about Sarah Palin during the 2008 election. Goodwin considers Sarah Palin very intelligent and holds her in high regard, having known Palin long before Sarah became a national figure; Goodwin has said that Sarah Palin's knowledge of history is deep and wide. In fact Goodwin has said that Palin is one of the most knowledgeable Lincoln scholars whom she has ever met outside of academia.
So, personally, I hold Doris Kearns Goodwin in higher esteem than Peggy "One-Step-From-Treason" Noonan. Goodwin is about the only lib I'm aware of that didn't buy into the Sarah "is a dumb ignorant Alaskan hillbilly".

Trump needs to undermine the Dems house and Senate leadership and reach out to a small caucus and appeal to them for negotiations.
I think the last Noonen reach around caused Bush Sr to reneging on his no new tax pledge.

What makes Peggy think the President wants health care reform to succeed? I’m of the mindest that he is playing the Rats and RINO’s for suckers here.
Secondly, the dems (and many RINO’s) are perfectly happy to compromise by leaving ObamaCare in place. Why break it any further by introducing ObamaCare 2.0?
Thirdly, Noonan is an idiot. If I gave this any more thought I could come up with 10 more reasons why this idea is dumb. But I won’t waste any more time thinking on this.
