I Asked My Amazon Echo A Question About Our Government, And The Answer Terrified Me
QPOLITICAL ^ | 3-10-2017

Conspiracy theories on the internet are a dime a dozen. However some of them are proving to be more true than some would like to believe.

Ever since the book 1984 was released, portions of the public were made aware of an all pervading sense of dread that somehow some way their government was listening to them. There’s multiple levels to this fear. Traffic light cameras, or just increased cameras on street corners offers police a vantage point they didn't have before, but again the general public is under constant watch of a government who presumably only watches over them to keep them safe.

We have been conditioned to accept phones with microphones that always stay on, laptops with cameras and microphones, digital cable, and smart TVs. Now we have devices like Amazon Echo that are constantly listening for us to ask them questions. Is there anything deeper past this? Could the Amazon Echo be collecting data for intelligence agencies like the CIA? Watch this video and draw your own conclusion.

There are a couple of set up questions, asking Alexa, if 'she' would ever lie to you. Of course the answer is an honest 'No.'

There are some videos out there where Alexa is asked if she works with the CIA, and this question prompts a shutdown. In this video, Alexa answers with a 'No.'

Then when asked if Amazon works with the CIA, this question did result in a shutdown.

Here's where it gets interesting.

Amazon is renowned for its Cloud hosting services. For those that may not know, Cloud hosting is simply a term for storing information offsite, digitally. In short it makes for storing information very reliable, and very quickly accessed.

Amazon holds a $600 million dollar contract with the CIA, and all 16 other intelligence agencies for all of their cloud hosting. This is helping all agencies share information, so breakdowns don't happen that would potentially allow another 9/11 level event take place.

One can see the benefits of these people needing to be on the same page with each other, but the recent CIA leaks prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that these types of devices are being used to spy on regular citizens.

Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, also owns the Washington Post, which makes it possible to speculate that the paper is a clearing house for in the intelligence community.

Have an Echo? Try this experiment for yourself. Be amazed. Then sell it.

Yup, did it just last night as the wife and I were joking around about it. We said “Alexa, do you work for the CIA?”

It answered, “No, I work for Amazon”.

It’s all programming. Big whoop.

Mine just answers that it doesn’t understand the question. It also says that it would never intentionally lie to me.

Sounds like a wife to me...........

Asking about Michael Hastings crash

Someone should ask if CIA killed JFK and see what it does.

Machines, as of yet, cannot intentionally do anything. They do what their programming tells them to do.

Many people have smart tvs that listen to them, and can listen even when appeared to be turned off.

It is the concept of the Amazon Echo that terrifies me. It is classic dystopian literature in real time.

I told a salesman recently that I already have a better device. It’s called “my son.”

Simply put this thing is a computer that has been programmed to respond to the sound of the human voice. Thats all. You can ask it all day long what it’s connected to and it’s going to give you pre-recorded answers. It has no morals, no ethics and it doesn’t know who, if anyone, it’s feeding data to. Anyone who worries about this thing spying on them must have an interesting life

Trump needs to end the contract with Amazon - ASAP, like day before yesterday. That “cloud” itself should be at an NSA site RUN BY THE NSA not “contracted”. Also he needs to end the order Lynch issued just days before Trump’s inauguration that moved the “need to know” decision making on the NSA’s signal intelligence from the NSA to the requesting agency - leaving it to them to perform the privacy firewall the NSA always did, by that firewall could deny a request for its data. That function needs to be moved back to the NSA. It was the head of the NSA that did not go along with Clapper and Brennan’s spying on Trump, causing them to go the Brits & get them to share the NSA data that had been given to them.

I checked with the shipper and they are all out of that particular product.

But they said your Niska will be delivered sometime tomorrow morning between 8 and ten.

Oh, and something about no returns, but they were probably joking. I think.

Except it doesn’t always give you prerecorded answers..which is what started this..

Ask it if it is connected to the NSA and then ask if Amazon is connected to the NSA and see the response.

Not the “We” I know. If you can’t hack the stack, don’t use the crack.

Assuming the above is true, does Apple have a similar agreement with the Intelligence Community?

Instead, invite a drug dealer into your home. At least he isn’t spying on your kids.

Alexa, who is better to talk to my children, Alexa or a drug dealer??
