The question was what would the U.S. look like without the EPA. You are shifting the discussion. Which is fine but you should first answer the question.
Sorry, but YOU are the one shifting the discussion. The question is NOT “what if the EPA NEVER EXISTED and massive air and water pollution still existed”. It’s “what if the EPA was forced to cease its CURRENT jihad on America’s and its citizens’ prosperity”.
It’s possible that you or a family member work for the EPA and/or mistakenly believe that CO2 is destroying the “health” of the Earth and is a “poison” that must be prevented at all cost. The EPA’s primary focus now is not cleaning up the air and water from emitted pollutants — that MISSION has already been largely accomplished. If the EPA would stick to making sure there is no backsliding in air and water quality, few of us would have a problem with that. But that is not their current focus—I’m sorry you lack the eyes or perception to recognize that.
