The vast majority of federal sentences for marijuana crimes went to Hispanics last year, according to new data from the U.S. Sentencing Commission.
Hispanics were widely overrepresented with 77 percent of federal marijuana sentences, despite making up less than 20 percent of the U.S. population.
Non-Hispanic whites were dramatically underrepresented, with 11.9 percent of pot sentences, and African-Americans were also underrepresented with 8.3 percent.

Well duh. The only way to get into a Federal pen for marijuana is to smuggle it across the border.
Cue the kid....
Then maybe Hispanics should stop selling weed!
For your interest.
They only did it, though, was to CONTRIBUTE to our society and make a meaningful addition to our diversity.
hmmmm.....sounds like Obama was springing HIS people while locking-up THOSE people.
They would be the ones bringing it into the country from Mexico and I bet they are Mexicans and assorted Central American nationalities and not citizens.
BTTT
Over-represented? Was this an exit poll from an election?
As an Italian, I am disgusted at the over-representation of Italians being arrested in Mafia cases.
Right. And we need more Hispanics investigated for their ties to the Irish Republican Army.
Smuggling it, growing it, harvesting it or selling it!
ROFL!! That would make for a great skit.
A dozen IRA members at a meeting and one of them not quite like the others :)
But still speaking with an Irish accent :)

IOW another excellent reason why illegal aliens must be deported...
Bingo and a wall/fence/barrier built.
Well the word “marijuana” is Spanish.
My guess is that those arrested for coke, crack and meth are NOT latino.
Hey, they are just taking the jobs selling drugs that American citizens won’t.
Expect the ACLU to come out with some charges of “profiling” or “targeting” Hispanics for these crimes. Under the 0bama/Lynch administration, we would have seen a DOJ investigation into why the arrest data is so disproportionate.
