Sen. Lindsey Graham on Wednesday said Congress will “flex its muscle” if the Department of Justice doesn’t come forward with answers about President Trump’s claims that former President Obama wiretapped his phones at Trump Tower.
“We’ll issue a subpoena to get the information. We’ll hold up the deputy attorney general’s nomination until Congress is provided with information to clear the air as to whether or not there was a warrant issued against the Trump campaign,” Graham (R-SC) said on NBC’s “Today.”
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Tuesday evening his panel will delay the nomination of Rod Rosenstein until FBI Director James Comey comes clean on any Russian investigations.
Graham said he’s increasing frustrated by the DOJ’s stalling on whether there’s evidence to support Trump’s claims about being monitored during the election.
“If it’s not true, just tell me it’s not true. Why is it taking so long to get the answer?” Graham said. “I have no evidence of it, I’m suspicious of it, but now I’m getting concerned because it’s taking so long to answer my lette

Grassley, on the other hand sent a letter to Comey to come clean on a much broader matter— the illegal counter intel collusion potentially done under Comey’s watch, and with Lowretta’s “blessing” (per old billy powder nose on the plane on the tarmac discussing grandchildren... uh huh).

This has muzzies written all over it, starting with obamaumao, going through brennan the incompetent convert, Huma the dyke in place with hills, and right on through the Syrian ISIS creation and gun-running and murder of the expendable “asset” of Ambassador Stevens. With a final question, asked in certain circles— did the French get the Libyan national gold (which Qadaffi was minting into coinage for sale... OFF the UK central clearing house in the City of London?). The reason hills and pals killed qadaffi in the first place with their Arab Spring in Tripoli. Disgusting.. all of it, the abuse of power and the greed.
What Graham said this morning isn’t unreasonable. Why isn’t the FBI just answering the question? By delaying, it makes President Trump’s allegations more credible.
They've definitely been in panic mode lately. It's as though Trump has some very damaging info on the the two and the are working to counter it.
Maybe it's deflection, as in “please look here, and please don't look into our greasy dealings in the middle east”.
Maybe they're scared shitless at the possibility of an actual criminal DOJ investigation of Benghazi.
