I strongly suggest that this movie will be box office poison.
Even its rating from professional critics at rotten tomatoes is near bottom barrel, today 68%. If it drops below 60% it gets a “rotten” score. With a budget of $160m, and advertising likely another $100m, it is close to the point where unless it is a blockbuster, it will cost Disney another fortune.
The smart homosexuals should be wary, because it looks like Disney may blame them for the movie’s bad direction and mediocre acting. Emma Watson in particular doesn’t seem to be enjoying her role as a Disney princess.
It's already smashed records for ticket pre-sales.
Beauty has already beat out Finding Dory to become the fastest-selling family film in history, according to Fandango, the online ticket retailer.
This film is going to be a massive hit.
