I don’t get it. Why pick an Obama retread? Unless Mathis himself is a stealth Muslim sympathizer. I don’t know the man, and you can’t be too careful these days, with the whole FedGov overrun with Muzzie operatives.

She was a main tool Obama (Soros) used to install the muslim brotherhood as Egypt’s “government.”
Patterson, who served as U.S. ambassador to Egypt when the Muslim Brotherhood rose to power, advocated in favor of negotiating with the terror group. Her efforts drew outrage in the Egyptian reformist community, which still views Patterson as working to legitimize the Muslim Brotherhood.
As assistant secretary of state for near east affairs in the Obama administration, Patterson also led efforts to criticize Israeli authorities after they killed a Palestinian-American terrorist who was attempting to stab civilians.

I am astonished that anyone like this woman could ever be considered for a post in the Trump administration, not even to clean the floors. Who could trust her? The mohammedan brotherhood should be outlawed, not “engaged with.”

Mainstream Obama policies, we'll have to see if they're able to under a new administration.
He chose her. If she's "kicked to the curb" Congress will have to do it.

He seemed to understand the enemy well and understand the importance of clearly identifying and naming the enemy.
I am at a loss as to what the hell he is doing here.
Mattis talks a good game, and his actions seem in the right direction. However, Mattis shares the illusion of Western elites that what Mattis calls “political Islam” is something separate from religious Islam.
Mattis seems outstanding as a leader in a war, but Patterson proves he has no clue about the primal reality of Islam, and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near ‘policy’.
