President Donald Trump has more than the Democratic opposition to worry about with his proposed American Health Care Act. Conservatives are pushing hard against it, too, despite AHCA proponents' attempts to persuade members of the House Freedom Caucus with an ad campaign and some schmoozing in Washington.
"Right now, I think there is a charm offensive going on," Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told CBS host John Dickerson on Sunday's "Face the Nation." "Everybody is being nice to everybody, because they want us to vote for this, but we are not going to vote for it."
Conservatives will fight President Trump's GOP healthcare agenda along with Democrats on the belief the proposed AHCA is merely Obamacare in another form.

Conservatives need to stand firm in opposition to the RINO Care bill — for the good of our nation and of the American people.
President Trump asked us to hold both the administration & the Congressional leadership ACCOUNTABLE. And that;s just what we’re doing — holding them accountable. STAND FIRM!
Trump should not have trusted Ryan it’s as simple as that. Ryan knows Trump NEEDS a R&R bill so he used the opportunity to put this pos up knowing Trump almost has to go with it. So now we have this mess. I think what Trump needs to do is get in a room with Ryan and Paul and fix this. IMHO.
So who proposed the bill: Trump or Ryan? (I'm pretty sure they got it right the second time, and therefore wrong the first.)
Stand firm?
Like they stood firm, every single one of them, voting Ryan as Speaker?
That is a great chart!
And you are so correct.
Rearranging all those bubbles, and lines, and names, is NOT repealing!!
If they don’t repeal 0’care and replace wit a free market system then I predict governors will be appointing their replacements.
It’s anguishing for me to think of RyanCare as the fulfillment of the MANY promises President Trump made to us to replace and repeal Obamacare. RyanCare does not fulfill that promise. Not even close. In fact, it’s a GIANT step backwards. RyanCare is WAY worse than Obamacare as it currently stands. WAY worse!
I poured my heart and soul and (MUCH money) into supporting President Trump’s nomination and subsequent election based on his many promises (especially his promise to repeal and replace Obamacare) and my strong belief that President Trump was different than every other elected official in my lifetime because I actually expected him to keep his campaign promises.
My only hope is that RyanCare is some kind of ruse for unknown political purposes, such as sinking Ryan’s ship or for buying time or something. I’ll be surprised if RyanCare passes the House and stunned if it passes the Senate and done if President Trump signs it.
If President Trump does in fact try to tout Ryancare as the fulfillment of his campaign promise to repeal and replace Obamacare, then President Trump will lose the support of we who are is supporters and is finished as a President; the GOP would be finished as well. And so would our country.
I can forgive President Trump many things, including being unable to fulfill ALL of his promises, and especially those attempted fulfillments thwarted by opposition that cannot be overcome.
However, I will NOT forgive him if he accepts RyanCare as the fulfillment of his campaign promise to repeal and replace Obamacare. I’d actually rather President Trump do nothing at this point and wait until the GOP has a filibuster-proof Senate in 2018 and then do it right, rather than accept counterproductive measures like RyanCare.
Arrogance or stupidity?
So hard to tell with these feckless “leaders”.
Ryan’s plan was released last year. The opposition now is being driven by the Mark Levin/Beck crowd.
If they had it their way last year, Hillary would be president. And if they have it their way now, Obamacare will be the law of the land forever.
The good news is that they always lose.
If either this horrid bill passes, or nothing does, we will have a Ryan administration as much as a Trump administration.
The only way for Trump to deliver on his promise and maintain his dignity and administration would be to get a straight repeal through. But having offloaded the handling of this to the Ryan surrogates of Priebus, Pence, Price and Mulvaney, that would require a massive turnaround.
Stand firm against this horrible bill.
Riiiight. Ryan is going to force little helpless Trump to sign this pos bill.
Huh? The Heritage Foundation, Club for Growth, Cruz, Paul, etc. are against this monstrosity. Levin is effective because the bill is so bad. Beck really isn’t relevant.
trump needs to grab ryan and mconnell byethe back of thier necks and walk them right out of the white house
Yeah and the rest of us will lose with the passage of Trump/Ryan care.
BS. This plan repeals the mandate and the taxes. If you don’t like it, opt out and pay for your own healthcare.
