1. What “rules” prevented him from talking to Trump?

2. Trump asked him to ‘stick around’ when they talked some weeks ago.

He did not promise Bharara he wanted him to ‘stay on in his current role’ for ever.

Let me get this straight:

1. Mr. Bharara will not take a telephone call from the President because it's against a Justice Department rule, but
2. It's all hunky-dory when the sitting AG takes a meeting on her government jet with an ex-President seeking to sway an FBI investigation into his wife-candidate?

Got it!

May I suggest, Mr. Bharara, that you take the call from the Boss then, if the call should stray into improper areas, you excuse yourself and end the call.

With sincere apologies to any Indian Freepers, “preet” was one of the cartoon sounds used for various critters of the night like insects and toads in “MAD Magazine”. I was a big fan in the ‘50’s and the “preet” sound always made me laugh because it was so accurate to a rural Pennsylvania boy.

If he didn’t know, then he is not smart enough for the job.

It would be unethical IF he was running an investigation where Trump was the target. This SOB former employee of Schumer was up to no good.

"Bharara refused to return phone call from Trump citing DOJ rules"

What friggin' rules? That's it? No explanation of the rule(s), no specific rule source given? This smells to high heavens...as usual.

If Bharara wants to blame someone for being fired, he should look no further than the man who appointed him.

The actions of 0bama loyalists remaining in the government have made it clear that most of them can't be trusted, so all of them need to be gone.

It might well mean that as a result we lose a handful of people doing great work; although in Preet Bharara's case it's not clear that he's one of them.

There need to be a lot more firings, especially at EPA, State, Interior, and among the desk jockeys in the intelligence community.

I have inside word that Preet covered up the Reid bribe during the Black Friday indictments. Give him the heave ho.

Refusing Trumps phone call request really doesn’t make a whole lot of difference, his ass got fired anyway. Good riddance!

Good riddance to the POS.

"Muslim or Hindu. He’s Pakistani or Indian"

Wikipedia says: Bharara was born in 1968 in Firozpur, Punjab, India, to a Sikh father and Hindu mother.

It would be unethical IF he was running an investigation where Trump was the target.

If he were running an investigation targeting Trump, he should be doing that as a special prosecutor, outside the DOJ, and appointed by Congress.

This SOB former employee of Schumer was up to no good.

Yes, he's likely a Schumer/Obama political hack.

Besides, Preet was likely leaking info to Schmuckie.

Of course he was this is what’s so stupid about this ! I watch these Talking Heads on TV and they keep contradicting themselves

The Dem act all outraged at Trump charge he was spied on screaming there’s no evidence you were spy on.

Yep in the same breath the Dem are always saying have all this evidence or suspicion Trump was in collusion with the Russian czars done something illegal. ...

So how would they have that unless they’ve been investigating AKA spying on Trump??

Hell even the left papers are all saying all yeah we have this wiretap

The thing is they’ve not found anything criminal no criminal prosecution no charges no nothing filed...

So these damn investigations clearly looked to be politically driven because you’re not finding anything criminal and are just being used to spy

It just way its works. Anybody anytime anybody accuses you with something. The only way that person would know there have to admit they’ve been investigating looking into you. That’s spying...

Its funny the fourth amendment is about requiring the government to get a warrant to search you. Yet they can get a secret warrant to search you. Aka a wiretap... someone searching through your stuff in secret ..that spying.

Dinesh D’Souza already offered him two jobs. The first was as the maintenance guy for a cousin who owns a motel. The second was in computer tech support — “because he’s an Indian guy with no accent.” LMAO.

Delicious. :)

He is Indian, born in Punjab, immigrated into US at age 2 with parents. Naturalized citizen. Father was Sikh, mother Hindu. Mother’s father was Muslim, her grandfather Jewish. Quite a mix!

Bharara accepts Trump’s offer to ‘stay on’ as US attorney

http://nypost.com/2016/11/30/bharara-accepts-trumps-offer-to-stay-on-as-us-attorney/

So what rules prevented him from returning the call? Seems the US has lost a good man.
