When a man knows he is to be hanged, said Dr. Samuel Johnson, it concentrates his mind wonderfully. When North Korea on March 6, 2017 simultaneously and successfully fired four missiles, the mind of the president of the U.S. as well as the eyes of the world, began concentrating on the ensuing danger to humanity. That demonstration of power, together with the murder on February 13, 2017 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia of Kim Jong Nam by two women on behalf of the victims half-brother, the dictator Kim Jong-Un, constituted for many a wakeup call and a "game-changer."
Yet it should not have been. The "international community" was given ample notice of the nature of the North Korean regime. In a damning 372-page report on February 17, 2014 by a United Nation committee headed by Michael Kirby, former Australian High Court Justice, the violations of human rights and abuses of the regime were considered to constitute crimes against humanity. North Korea is a totalitarian state, with a single party, a dictator who is the Supreme Leader, and a guiding ideology, seeking to dominate every aspect of the lives of its citizens who are terrorized.
After World War II, the frequent feeble excuse of those who were passive in the face of Nazi atrocities was "If only we had known." There is no excuse possible about the North Korean system. Indeed, the Kirby report indicated that atrocities committed by North Korea (NK) were strikingly similar to those perpetrated by the Nazis during World War II. There is no parallel in the contemporary world.

NK is a one time danger. If they get “lucky” and nuke SF, LA or any other leftist city, they will be eliminated for good.
They can’t be that stupid.
I don't think they are. The whole idea is to make the rest of the world believe that they're insane enough to do something stupid, and have a credible resource to do something stupid with.
NK is like a sick bee that stings a victim.
You get to act out with your one weapon but, it is a suicide pact.
Trump will be more of a hero than he is already is after he takes out the the evil, puffy-faced dictator. Kim will stage himself to view his weapons, as he so often does. Keep an eye out. Then vaporize him. Even the Russians and Chicoms will be pleased, though they will complain. The legend of Donald Trump will grow.
We’ve known for decades that N. Korean leadership is insane.
Should take out the entire upper echelon.
Shoulda been done long ago.
The Norks are sabre-rattling again, must be time to send them another check.
Thank God we elected President Trump! The whole world dodged a bullet.
What is not being (out of shear stupidly ) is the fact the latest 4 missile launch was launched in the azimuth of 4 of the largest US military bases in Japan... A warning that they have the direction and the distance to hit them
Two NORK nukes detonated strategically at 65,000 feet over the USA would be a real problem. It doesn’t matter if they come from fat boy’s submarines offshore or hijacked UPS 747’s on a one way trip.
What was he for 8 f’king years under noibama and bush before and clinton before, but now its worse oh my oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yah,they can be.And consider this...apart from possibly hitting Hawaii,Alaska or Seattle there are US military bases in Japan...as well as Japan and South Korea themselves.IIRC Japan is the world's third largest economy and S. Korea is the 5th largest.
Not that anyone asked me but I'd advise DJT to propose a grand peace conference and, simultaneously, order crack snipers into NK with orders to liquidate that fat psychopath with extreme prejudice.
They can reach Honolulu and/or Anchorage.
There is always the power behind the throne. All of those characters standing behind the Little Turd, especially the generals in the big hats have to be thinking “I’ve paid my dues. I stayed loyal to this little a-holes old man, I towed the line and now I’ve got a nice apartment, food,French congac and I’m going to let this little maniac ruin it all, no way!’’. I don’t think they’ll let the “dear’’ what ever he’s called blow them all to hell.
It is one individual, who will willingly launch thermonuclear bombs into the world and wantonly murder free people. He will watch as everyone in North Korea may die in this exchange. He is a madman.
One individual who must be stopped.
If China does not do it, then America must. China would see its relationship with America destroyed over the murderer in North Korea. They must think again.
It hinges on one demented degenerate, and the whole world wants him out.
This can only be "not a military action" for us if China is successfully intimidated into invading and conquering outright North Korea, and that, of course, presents another problem. The Nork situation is solvable only by invasion and annihilation of the Kim family and whatever members of the elite have jockeyed for power or would. Cornering the rat will make it strike out however it can. Missiles at Japan and SK are most likely and also torpedoing of whatever shipping it can reach and shelling of Seoul. Un likely believes that if he gets crazy enough and violent enough the Americans will throw oil and money and food at the country and "deal" with him for more promises as we have done so many times in the past.
So. we should maybe let Un nuke Honolulu or LA first so we will have the “moral high ground” when we incinerate NK?
I did not say that, although that seems to be what our policy has been since the tragic loss of Ronald The Great.
If Mr Trump does not aggressively bring the USA to the brink of War, perhaps in two theaters- being Korea and the ME, we're assured of being pushed past the brink somewhere soon with either Iran or Nork trying its luck in the Big One. Un is insane and thinks he can get what he wants from the US by escalating belligerence. The Imams think they can usher in their Mohammedan Utopia by initiating a totally destructive war- I would say "regardless of the outcome" but the mullahs think the outcome is foreordained.
