The U.S. attorney for Manhattan has declined to resign despite a demand from the Justice Department.
Preet Bharara declined to tender his resignation on Friday part of a demand from the Justice Department for 46 U.S. attorneys to resign, according to multiple reports.
Bharara previously met with President Trump at Trump Tower before the inauguration and had told reporters Trump asked him to stay on.

I recall news about him saying something like that. But at the end of the day we don’t need him., But it is just send him back to India. Especially now, that he wants to be insubordinate

This has got to be fake news. He is one of the attorneys they want to keep on the job. He has big time corruption cases against the NY Gov and NY Mayor.
I’ve read good things about Bharara. But he serves at the discretion of the administration and they have the right to ask him for his resignation and to dismiss him if he refuses. I’m not sure what purpose his refusal serves, besides posturing for a future political run.
That is what I thought.
He even went after some NY politicians.
The Indian mafias got it self entrenched everywhere. Personally I think everyone I’m should be fired from every job anywhere. Let them go back to India. I don’t care if they’re born in the US or not. It is too often clear they are not loyal to us. Definitely in the sky’s case not respect full of Trump. Or Sessions.
We need to find out where he is on the corruption case in NY. I’ve heard that although he is a liberal he is honest and incorruptible.
You do realize that if he quit, he would get a job as a partner at a big law firm at 2 or 3 million a year, easily?

If he has to remain in the employee of the US government, send them to India, to arrange for the easy deportation of Indians back to India. I’ve read elsewhere that India is one of several countries that do not allow deported Indians from the US to be returned India. Let them fix that.
