NYU Gender-Swap Experiment Backfires, Proved Hillary Would Be Less Likable As a Man
Truth Revolt ^ | March 9, 2017 | Tiffany Gabby

This is actually quite a delightful study. Two left-wing NYU professors designed an experiment to prove that Hillary Clinton would have been treated more fairly, and won the election, had she been a man. Likewise, the study was meant to reveal that if President Trump were a woman, no one would have tolerated his antics.

Well, the experiment backfired. Not only was it revealed that Trump would have fared exceedingly well as a woman, people despised Hillary Clinton, the man, a lot more than they did the woman.

"We both thought that the inversion would confirm our liberal assumption—that no one would have accepted Trump’s behavior from a woman, and that the male Clinton would seem like the much stronger candidate," Salvatore said.

"But we kept checking in with each other and realized that this disruption—a major change in perception—was happening. I had an unsettled feeling the whole way through."

Salvatore ceded that members of the audience understood how and why Trump won the general election after participating in the debate.

Best, or, worst of all, not only did the "simplicity of Trump’s message" become "easier for people to hear when it was coming from a woman," one female audience member said the male version of Hillary was "very punchable." Apparently it had something to do with her smiling too much.

That’s how it goes. As a woman she is not expected to be terribly rational. As a man irrationality becomes a glaring fault. I think Maggie Thatcher noted that phenomenon, and there was no irrationality in her.

Disingenuity and phoniness often accompany arrogance.

I'm not so sure that is a Trump/Hillary thing as much as it is a gut-level reaction to seeing a man using the mannerisms of a woman.

You mean a woman who is acting incredibly smug and condescending? Then yeah, that.

Ryan ought to be tarred and feathered by his constituents on the Capitol Grounds. Maybe then these other professional anuses might worry about being next.

She was condescending, but people who voted for her didn't notice because they agreed with her.

When they put her lines in a man's mouth, it sounded like "mansplaining" and irritated them in the way that Hillary irritated the people who voted against her.

The next question, though, is whether some Trump voters were put off by Trump lines coming from a woman.

If she were a man she’d never have been First Lady and therefore never a Senator and therefore never a serious candidate for President.
