Except Ron's bill repeals little more that Ryan's bill. There is no plan to completely repeal all of ObamaCare. BOHICA.
Yank that the hell out of there. What's wrong with you Mr. Big Libertarian?
A deduction...now that's a completely different story.
Then you (and Trump) are supporting a requirement for insurance companies that makes insurance prohibitively expensive for people who do not have any pre-existing conditions.
That's why there's no way to "fix" ObamaCare without eliminating the two things that are driving up insurance premiums for most Americans: (1) the elimination of lifetime coverage limits, and (2) the requirement for coverage of pre-existing conditions.
That’s heartless.
That was my bet made long before it ever became law through a supreme court mandated constitutional amendment.
This makes more sense;
“If the FedGov did just one thing to actively clean this whole thing up it would be this: make it illegal to allow health insurance to be part of your compensation package. i.e. ALL health insurance is purchased by the insured - like car insurance.”

But then it’s one of those things easily said but hard to execute.
Legislating "compassion" is the first step on the road to perdition.
Forcing an insurance company to cover a pre-existing condition is like forcing them to insure a house after it has burned to the ground. What planet do you live on where that makes any sense at all?
I don't want to see anyone go broke over a medical situation, but acting like a massive Federal entitlement program and an enormous regulatory requirement for insurance companies is the only alternative is idiotic.
No offense, of course. :-)
I agreed with that poster — sort of. There’s nothing wrong with an employer paying for your medical insurance. It should just be treated no differently than it he had purchased, say, a life or disability insurance policy for you.
I would like to see Obamacare repealed in its entirety.
Every word, root and branch.
Pass a replacement separately.
Or not.
It could be that he wants to bring out RINO RYAN’s bill for the people to see, and then let Rand Paul bring out his bill and get some ‘working together’ going on with the input of the American People...
When it reaches his desk, then President Trump will be able to send it back with his wants (which is for the American People) and back and forth until we finally get something that President Trump thinks will be for the betterment of the American People...
This is why we elected him, and it seems to me this is how he is going to run his Administration, as long as he keeps his daughter out of the government's business, we elected him, not her...
K.I.S.S.
Just repeal it ......pass the repeal and say it takes effect Dec1 2017.
Get TRUMPCARE INPLACE BEFORE THEN.
K.I.S.S.
Nope. Internal Revenue code 5000(A) still stands.
“But retain the requirement to cover pre-existing conditions as well as the subsidies.”
Right. I believe the subsidies are capped. They will lower insurance and drug costs in phases 2 and 3. Phase 1 has a narrow scope because of reconciliation rules.
If they cut off all the subsidies next month many states will go bankrupt. This will have to be addressed later.
Repeal today, this moment and let things gel for a few months.
Sounds like a plan. The UniParty hates Trump, they loved Obama.
Egads Dawg, I think you are on to something there.
As if you had a choice.
It shifts the cost burden for the uninsured to the government. Thats all. And I don't even think in it's current form that it gets rid of the IRS reg.
What does “enact healthcare insurance” mean?
