It won’t destroy trump, but I do think it would definitely destroy congressional majorities if they fail to move, or if they move in a manner that is viewed to be improper.
However, I agree with trump that now is the time to move. We can’t assume that we will ever have another chance.
It is time to pull the trigger, but I also think that they need to tune up some things in this initial bill, even if there is no way to make it perfect for all involved.
I think this because just as they cannot pass a full repeal bill due to filibustering, they also risk losing this bill to conservatives simply not voting for it. Cruz and Lee and Paul and Cotton are enough to kill it in the senate, reconciliation or not.
So they gotta make it palatable.
That would be awesome ...
> Trump is going to let Paul Ryan spend all of Ryans own political capitol and put him in his place.
Watching this unfold... I think you may be right.
We have to be sure (and so does DJT) that this is “Ryan’s plan” and not “Trump’s plan”.
You know a really bad bill that contains some of the good stuff is still a very bad bill. We always here compromise is good when usually it is not.
That’s because our party sucks and doesn’t stick together.
Way too many “mavericks”.
