If President Trump isn’t careful this will turn out to be his “read my lips” moment and make him a one term POTUS.

“You’re going to make it better” is a threat?

Interesting.

Sounds to me like a “Put up or shut up.”

This plan is a flaming bag of dog crap left on the porch of the GOP base. Instead of the walkback, he went for the doubledown.

Passage of this thing will make tax reduction impossible.

After witnessing the #NeverTrumpers come out in force and sing in unison how bad the replacement bill was, I have to give the President the benefit of the doubt.

Wherever #NeverTrumpers appear on an issue, there is an immediate suspicion of their position, and the issue risks being discredited because of them.

Ryancare is not a repeal of Obamacare, it is a rearranging of it.

Trump is risking his only base of support, we the people, if he stakes his Presidency on Paul Ryan’s plan.

Lesson for politicians : capitalism = freedom = prosperity. government ownership = socialism = venezuela colllapse.

Government involvement in healthcare is the problem

Read Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged

For efficiency you need competition and free markets free of government regulation , unbridled capitalism = freedom = prosperity and lower prices for example there is less government involvement in the electronics industry so it creates higher quality and lower prices as in smartphones . I bought an android phone for $9 that has 4 computers on more computing power than any in the 1980’s super computers etc. the dollar tree and smart phone electronics industry lowering of prices increasing of quality in tech and apps

I have read the highlights of this plan. It id a bad piece of legislation. I wonder who really wrote it. It will not solve any of the problems we have and will still keep us on the road to total fiscal ruin.

Bite the Bullet and break up the medical monopolies, take the GDP hit and let prices fall 80% or more. That is the real win. Health care we really afford.

I heard a Rand Paul radio interview on Tuesday. He stated that he had a good relationship with Trump, had talked to him several times, & Trump was interested in his ideas regarding repeal/replace and was listening to what he had to say. Rand was very upbeat and positive in his comments on this topic. Last night, Trump met with the Freedom Caucus. Trump likes smart people with good ideas and one of his greatest assets, per people who know him personally & who have worked with him in the private sector, is that he is a GOOD listener. Of course, the enemedia want the Republicans to have a public catfight over Obamacare & if it’s not happening, they’ll make one up .... just as they want to portray the WH as being in utter chaos & a disaster. When I hear news about repeal/replace from Rand Paul, Dave Brat, etc. and/or Trump himself (speaking in a serious venue, not tweeting), then I’ll believe what I’m hearing. The media/enemedia/presstitutes/Opposition Party have NO credibility with me any more.

This is the point where we are faced with the fact that Trump has, what Ted Cruz called "New York values".

We've kind of known this all along, but might have been hoping it wasn't true.

In any case, I believe Trump is not opposed to government health care, or government managed health care insurance. And I believe he holds that view with the noblest intention- that anyone who is sick should have access to health care services. He's trying to re-work the system so that it's not as punitive to hard-working people, and companies.

In the long run, while I am opposed to government-mandated health insurance, I trust Trump on enough of his other agenda that I would support him on this.

Ultimately, if we can get more and more people working good jobs, and caring for their families, the less of an issue this becomes, and the health insurance companies will have a more stable environment to offer competitive insurance rates.

Ryancare = Obamacare = government control of healthcare = socialism
Ryan is pointy headed eddie munster looking corrupt socialist twerp = typical lying politician

Ayn Rand on why socialism can never work;
http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/socialism.html
The essential characteristic of socialism is the denial of individual property rights; under socialism, the right to property (which is the right of use and disposal) is vested in “society as a whole,” i.e., in the collective, with production and distribution controlled by the state, i.e., by the government.

Socialism may be established by force, as in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics—or by vote, as in Nazi (National Socialist) Germany. The degree of socialization may be total, as in Russia—or partial, as in England. Theoretically, the differences are superficial; practically, they are only a matter of time. The basic principle, in all cases, is the same.

The alleged goals of socialism were: the abolition of poverty, the achievement of general prosperity, progress, peace and human brotherhood. The results have been a terrifying failure—terrifying, that is, if one’s motive is men’s welfare.

Instead of prosperity, socialism has brought economic paralysis and/or collapse to every country that tried it. The degree of socialization has been the degree of disaster. The consequences have varied accordingly.

He also warned the groups — including the Club for Growth, the Heritage Foundation, Americans for Prosperity, FreedomWorks and the Tea Party Patriots — that they “are helping the other side” with their remarks about the GOP plan, which they derided as “ObamaCare Lite,” according to the report.

Truth in advertising, Mr. President.

Didn’t I read right here on FR a few weeks ago that the (TRUMP) IRS is now not enforcing the Mandate portion of Obamacare?

If so, that was one of the biggest complaints of Obamacare thanks to the SCOTUS rewriting the Bill turning a Penalty into a Tax.

A Repeal without an actual Repeal.

As I was trained to speed read an article, I read the first half. Most articles are not worth reading that far.

Nice that you posted your picture.
