Dr. Keith Ablow: Relax, Trump Is Stone Cold Sane (possible repeat)
Fox News/Nation ^ | Feburary 15, 2017 | Dr. Keith Ablow

Posted on 03/08/2017 8:18:50 AM PST by yoe

Let me issue the standard disclaimer of psychiatrists who discuss the mental health of public figures: I have not personally examined President Trump.

Now, let me put to rest the concerns of Sen. Al Franken and political commentators John Oliver and Andrew Sullivan and anyone else who publicly or privately has questioned the president’s sanity:

Donald Trump is stone cold sane.

When a man acquires billions of dollars through complex real estate transactions, invests in many countries, goes on to phenomenal success in television and turns his name into a worldwide brand, it is very unlikely that he is mentally unstable.

(Excerpt) Read more at nation.foxnews.com ...

TOPICS: News/Current Events; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS:
From same article:When the same man obviously enjoys the love and respect of his children and his wife, who seem to rely on him for support and guidance, it is/extraordinarily/unlikely that he is mentally unstable.

When the same man walks into the political arena and deftly defeats 16 Republican opponents and then the Democratic heir-apparent to a two-term president’s administration, the odds of that man being mentally unstable become vanishingly thin.

And when that very same man attracts to his team the kind of intellect and gravitas represented (to name just a few) by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis, a retired Marine Corps general and commander of the U.S. Central Command, he cannot be mentally deranged. Period. It is a statistical impossibility.

Those who assert otherwise are political opportunists, or fools, or both (and I am thinking here, in particular, of Sen. Franken).

President Trump is the first human being to win this nation’s highest office without having held any other political office or serving as a general. Most political pundits thought his quest was pure folly. Most journalists assessed his chances as zero. So who was laboring under quasi-delusional thinking? Answer: Not Donald J. Trump.

The whole article is a gem...came to me as an e-mail....this is for all the detractors, mendacious news paper and Time Mag. like articles....Trump is a 'Yuge' plus for the nation and the world....

That anyone on either side of the aisle will discuss Trump’s mental state is all the left wants. It’s garbage. I refuse to engage that sort of discussion. (I know, I just did engage that type of discussion, oops).

Re: crazy like fox… I’m beginning to believe President Trump doesn’t do a single thing by impulse or accident... all is carefully planned for a specific goal. The media hates his guts, but he manipulates them as if they were his marionettes and the Democrats become more shrill, unhinged and discredited daily… Trump doesn’t own them, he just controls them, as he sets the agenda and they insanely react to it. Now the “Russians hacked the election” narrative is collapsing around them and the “tapped my wires” truth is gaining. #ArtOfTheDealMaster. Now, I no longer worry about the Democrats, but much about the Republicans. #RINOGOPeStabInBack

No harm done. It’s a very old ID, and I’m an old man. My loyalties have been eroded by decades of ineptitude. The Browns are without question the worst professional sports franchise in any sport, possibly ever. The current owner of the Browns is a criminal and a clown. That franchise is doomed, and I’d be shocked if the criminal owner doesn’t try to move the team in an attempt to escape his own incompetence.

THIS explains a lot.

After the past eight years of banana republic dictatorial rule by pen, phone, and progressive loyalists embedded in every federal, state, local political office and the media (but I repeat myself), “sane” looks suspect to those of us (you, not me) who have accepted men “identifying” as women, fifty seven genders, muslim terrorism as “workplace violence”, murdering unborn children a “right”, and all the rest of the civilization-destroying litany of progressive/democrat/liberal/communist side-show circus acts as “normal.”

“Yeah... the Left is totally unhinged, yet it’s Trump who is crazy?”

To quote the great philosopher Mike Muir....

I’M NOT CRAZY!!
YOU’RE THE ONE WHO’S CRAZY!!
YOU’RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!

Most of the left should be institutionalized.

LOL, I wonder if my old ex brother-in-law has arrived where you now are. They were an amazing team at one point in time for sure.

You know I was unaware of a lot of their history actually.

The franchise was founded in 1945 by businessman Arthur B. McBride and coach Paul Brown as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). The Browns dominated the AAFC, compiling a 47–4–3 record in the league's four active seasons and winning its championship in each of them. When the AAFC folded after the 1949 season, the Browns joined the National Football League along with the San Francisco 49ers and the original Baltimore Colts. The Browns won a championship in their inaugural NFL season, as well as in the 1954, 1955, and 1964 seasons, and in a feat unequaled in any of the North American major professional sports, played in their league championship game in each of the Browns' first ten years of existence. From 1965 to 1995, they made the playoffs 14 times, but did not win another championship or appear in the Super Bowl in that period. (I remember the game in the playoffs where the running back, Earnest Byner, fumbled at the goal line or very near, that would have most likely resulted in a tie in regulation, after a successful PAT, against the Broncos. Even I was heartbroken,)

In 1995, owner Art Modell, who had purchased the Browns in 1961, announced plans to move the team to Baltimore, Maryland. After threats of legal action from the city of Cleveland and fans, a compromise was reached in early 1996 that allowed Modell to establish the Baltimore Ravens as a new franchise while retaining the contracts of all Browns personnel. The Browns' intellectual property, including team name, logos, training facility, and history, were kept in trust and the franchise was regarded by the NFL as suspended. A new team would be established by 1999 either by expansion or relocation. The Browns were announced as an expansion team in 1998 and resumed play in 1999.

Since resuming operations in 1999, the Browns have struggled to find success. They have had only two winning seasons (in 2002 and 2007), one playoff appearance (2002), and no playoff wins. The franchise has also been noted for a lack of stability with quarterbacks, having started 26 players in the position over the past 18 seasons. To date, the Browns' overall win-loss record since 1999 is 88–200.

Yes, it’s a repeat, and it doesn’t mean any more than the various diagnoses by other pundits who also have had no contact with Mr. Trump in a clinical setting. If they had, professional confidentiality would prohibit their saying anything.

Ask yourself this:

HOW MANY WASHINGTON POLITICIANS OR ‘JOURNALISTS’ COULD LEARN HOW TO BUILD SKY-SCRAPPERS IN FOUR MONTHS?
