In a statement, Middlebury's president says that an independent investigation is underway to identify and sanction students who violated school policy and/or the law. Rightly stresses difference between peaceful, non-violent protest and hooliganism:

She was shouted down. In the ensuring melee, as she helped escort Murray out of the secondary venue (the original lecture hall was abandoned due to loud and relentless interruptions), she was physically assaulted and sent to the hospital:
This professor is a self-described Democrat who disagrees with Murray, yet she hoped to facilitate a productive discussion in the spirit of academic inquiry. They should have done a videotaped interview with the speaker and posted it on the school website and YouTube. Millions would have watched it instead of the hundred people there just to spite the anti-free speech rioters.
Then muzzle and tie down all the protesters and make them watch it and pass an exam about the details.

The entire episode is a condemnation of Middlebury itself.
The school has failed to teach their students to be precise-enough minds so that they could listen to anything from the Klan to Karl Marx and discern the truth for themselves.
This is a very significant story which I am following in more than one outlet.

I read Professor Stanger’s Facebook post, linked from the article. She describes the harrowing experience of being set upon by a mob. Then she managed to blame Trump “for the evil he has unleashed.” She asks what has made the “marginalized” students so angry.
She is a model of the modern academy. She sees the evidence with her own eyes of how illiberal the modern campus has become and reaches exactly the wrong conclusion.
They were successful. All of Common Core and the US curricula from John Dewey is to DESTROY critical thinking (integration of the brain will never occur) and they will NEVER be Wise, since they will NEVER be able to discern Good and Evil (Wisdom, according to Cicero and all philosophers)..
They succeeded and are doing it to ALL children by hyper-sexualizing them (completely warping their emotions about their own bodies and relationships) with media and schooling (programming) who are in the “publik” skool system and glued to screens, which is to destroy cognitive function in children and make them irrational for life, to embed dependency and hate for the Other (true diversity of male/female) and not be able to discern Good and Evil.
These graduates are so stupid they can’t even think as clearly as a normal four year old who can tell boys from girls with no trouble. Common Sense (Reality) can not exist in children who are removed from the Natural Family and put into group-think factories which destroy “thinking” for self and force a socialistic worldview (tribal worldview) on the children so they will be dependent on “group-(non)-think”.
Individualism with Reason and Free Will are only a Christian construct come only from DOING and LIVING in a REALITY which is DESIGNED by God——not man who wants to “kill God” (the Postmodernist, atheist, Darwinian, Malthusians who control the curricula and embed psychological warfare inside it and remove children from the Natural family and demean fatherhood and motherhood and commitment, basis of all civil societies.
The real scandal is that this ‘college’ charges $63,000 a year to babysit these snowflakes.

Yup. Saw several different articles on this but this was the first one I stumbled on to. But, sadly, probably not a lot going to happen to the mindless snowflaks who were the main culprits.
Ah, but what do you bet that most of the loudest protestors’ parents were not paying anything close to that amount? Paying full boat is for suckers, Whites and Asians...
When "peaceful, non-violent protesters" make it impossible to hear an invited speaker, they are neither peaceful nor non-violent. Even photographing attendees as they enter, done peacefully and non-violently, constitutes a threat in this environment.
I return to one of my favorite topics.
There is no undifferentiated "right to protest". There is a right to speak, at least in the sense that Congress can't forbid it.There is a right to assemble, peaceably, to petition the government for redress.
Charles Murray is not the government. The "protesters" (the "peaceful, non-violent" ones) were not seeking redress of grievances from the government, and they were exercising their speech rights in a manner calculated to injure and to provoke.
Middlebury doesn't need an investigation. They need a visit from Based Stickman.
It's a good thing the population can see these money-grubbing quasi criminals for what they really are...
Vegas odds are about 100-1 for her NOT seeing the light.
