EXCLUSIVE: FBI ‘Granted FISA Warrant’ Covering Trump Camp’s Ties To Russia [2016]
heatst.com ^ | November 7, 2016 | Louise Mensch

Two separate sources with links to the counter-intelligence community have confirmed to Heat Street that the FBI sought, and was granted, a FISA court warrant in October, giving counter-intelligence permission to examine the activities of ‘U.S. persons’ in Donald Trump’s campaign with ties to Russia.

Contrary to earlier reporting in the New York Times, which cited FBI sources as saying that the agency did not believe that the private server in Donald Trump’s Trump Tower which was connected to a Russian bank had any nefarious purpose, the FBI’s counter-intelligence arm, sources say, re-drew an earlier FISA court request around possible financial and banking offenses related to the server. The first request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; SVB Bank and Russia’s Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons.

The FBI agents who talked to the New York Times, and rubbished the ground-breaking stories of Slate ( Franklin Foer) and Mother Jones (David Corn) may not have known about the FISA warrant, sources say, because the counter-intelligence and criminal sides of the FBI often work independently of each other employing the principle of ‘compartmentalization’.

The FISA warrant was granted in connection with the investigation of suspected activity between the server and two banks, SVB Bank and Alfa Bank. However, it is thought in the intelligence community that the warrant covers any ‘US person’ connected to this investigation, and thus covers Donald Trump...

Whatever this election be called it is clearly one which has triggered the revelation of just how desperate Right is in this country.

Most believed the Fake News, now they don’t.

Most were totally unaware of the hidden power structure within the nation whether you call it the “deep state” or the Secret Team. Now millions are waking up to its existence and its war on Trump.

Fighting for our freedom is something most have not done, now this is being changed. Times of struggle are necessary for the Right to win the fight.

An example is the abject failure of the GOP to defend Nixon when the coupe was staged against him. The Watergate was nothing compared to intercepting a political party’s clandestine messages. That was one of the Team’s greatest victory. Nixon had won a crushing electoral victory and he was maneuvered out of office by the same institutions after Trump.

Gee...then people who think that the day they got married to THE best person as THE GREATEST DAY EVER, or the day a woman gave birth to a wonderful child, as THE GREATS DAY EVER, are mistaken; it has to be some horrible "challenge"?

It's NOT a "doom & gloom" point of view at all. You just are incapable of seeing what I am driving at and think that my finding a stupid, banal, inane, meaningless meme is funny. It doesn't take much to tickle your fancy, I guess.

Let me try to make this is simple as possible, for ya....what IF Trump turns out to so hamstrung, that he can't do most of things we all hope he is going to do; WHAT THEN? Will this still be "THE GREATEST ELECTION EVER"?

What if Ivanka and Jared convince him to do some really dumb/lefty stuff? Will this still be "THE GREATEST ELECTION EVER"?

I could go on, with many other what ifs, but my point is that it's really far too early to crow about Trump's presidency! The election is OVER....now the real stuff happens.

So by all means, use the meme, also use it for a tag line, but if you imagine that that will get under my skin, or whatever, let me disabuse you of that thought. I'll just continue to believe that you and your ilk aren't wise, nor capable of rational thought.

And as far as Mr. Nixon goes, I followed him, from the time he was the VEEP. I found him to be very interesting, even though it all began when I was a small child.

I worked on both of his winning presidential campaigns and know that he was an honorable man, which is WHY he resigned; it was to SAVE THIS COUNTRY...just as he didn't contest the JFK fraudulent win, in '60!

I really couldn’t care less if my new tag line gets under your skin or not. I have understood exactly the point you have been trying to make throughout this entire thread... you are nervous about the future because of what happened to Nixon. I get that; I understand the risks. And none of us know exactly how this thing is going to turn out in the end. I am just glad that we finally have a fighter as President.

Thank you for sharing your actual experience. That means more to me than everything else that you have written. And I thank you for your work on the Nixon campaigns. I apologize for my obnoxiousness. I salute you sir.

You're correct, with one sad caveat: sadly, many people still believe what the MSM has spewed out about Trump and don't believe that Obama and his team has done anything "wrong".

Unless there is hard proof, I doubt that we can change there minds and even then, there will still be a hard core of idiots, who will claim that Trump and everyone connected to him are guilty ( of what, they won't know ) and the Obama was right in doing whatever was done. There's just NO hope for these people.

The election is over....this is when the rubber hits the road and we have to wait to see just HOW things turn out.

And I agree completely with you...re Nixon!

Have you ever read the book,"IT DIDN'T START WITH WATERGATE" that exposed the fact that EVERY president, since FDR had done the same things, or much worse, that Nixon did/was accused of doing, but didn't? There are also other good books about this too.

Unfortunately, the GOP NEVER stands up for/protects its own.

“...it was to SAVE THIS COUNTRY...just as he didn't contest the JFK fraudulent win, in ‘60!...”

IIRC, the “plumbers” became active with planting evidence or stealing from some psychiatrist for the guy that leaked “The Pentagon Papers”. Anyway - Nixon was trying to discredit the guy and trying to keep those “papers” from getting out. They were notes and an internal report made by the Johnson Administration about the status on the Vietnam War - and it was bad news. Now a political hack (like obama) would have released those papers and brought them up all the time to discredit the opposing party. Nixon must have figured that government war secrets should remain secret - no matter the party. And that while the papers may have made Johnson look bad, it would also make the U.S. look bad.

I was always intrigued that the 7+ (?) minute gap in the tapes was right after Nixon spoke about the burglary (that used a few Cubans that had been involved in Kennedy's Bay of Pigs thing), and that “it might bring up that whole Cuban thing”. Probably the Bay of Pigs, but maybe also a tie-in to the Kennedy assassination. Again - Nixon trying to protect the U.S.

Clapper said that there was no FISA warrant, that had there been, he would have known about it. We also know Gen Flynn’s conversations were tapped — there are transcripts. This is a big deal.

LOL...oh you CARE; you CARE A LOT! ;^)

No, it's not really about what was done to Mr. Nixon....it's because it isn't a precise, nor even accurate meme. It's about as meaningful ( especially AFTER the election is long over, but PRIOR to Trump's full first term ) as wee barry's "YES WE CAN".

If president Trump manages to do most of what he claims to want to do, the Dems are forced into further disarray and impotence, then and ONLY then, will the election of '16 been "GREAT"; just NOT the BEST ONE EVER. That meme is impossible for any of us to know.

Thank you, but I did what I believed and still do, was the best thing I could do FOR this country.

I also worked on both of Reagan's winning presidential campaigns.

I've worked on other campaigns too; some were won, some weren't,and there were times, after the election, when whom I had worked to get elected, let me down badly. But there was NO WAY that I could have known that the latter would happen, until it did.

One of the problems is that the GOP lives in constant fear that their backers are going to turn on them. For the Ultras nothing is ever enough and every alarm is considered fatal.

People have never believed that the Fake News industry is totally controlled by radical leftists. That is changing and is critical in this continuing fight. It is also significant that today’s young give the NYT no more credibility than Breitbart. Most of the Fake News watchers are dying out and not replaced by equally credible leftist organizations.

You and I won’t be around to see one of, if not the, biggest battle facing America and that is the radical left control of education. It will take decades but must be undertaken. Much of parents’ time is taken up undoing the radicals’ indoctrination.

Yes, Mr. Nixon was a man of honor, through thick and thin; no matter what. He LOVED this country and though trashed, bashed, and lied about, for over 20 years, did his best to do what was best for this nation.

The Watergate break-in, was more about protecting "protecting" John Dean's wife's reputation ( she had been a high class "escort" )and Dean, himself, than anything else. And Mr. Nixon did NOT know anything at all about it, before or when it happened.

John Dean was a disgusting POS and did Mr. Nixon dirt!

Men in my family often die young. Stubbornness is what killed a lot of them. My wife threatened to shoot me if I didn’t go to the doctor for lingering abdominal pain. It turned out to be my appendix which had burst a week before and had caused an infection which the doctors claimed would have been fatal I hadn’t had emergency surgery. So if it wasn’t for the doctors, the good Lord and my wife I wouldn’t be here. So I apologize again.

That’s why I said “as much a fighter as Trump.”

Nixon wasn’t even close. It’s all about temperament. And it will make all the difference with our current president.

I’d say Trump has a stronger temperament than anyone in the democrat party. Including Hillary and individuals like Bill Ayers.

I agree with everything you said, but the stupid kids believe that the garbage "comedy" shows are REAL NEWS.

Lefties began to take over education, in the late '60s. Many guys who wanted to avoid going to Nam, went to college and majored in education. Some lefties went into education to do what they have done and it had nothing at all to do with avoiding military service.

Once the majority of women were able to get jobs outside of teaching and nursing, they abandoned those professions. That left education wide open to much lesser lights.

Fast forward a bit and those who majored in junk majors, could ONLY find jobs teaching ( and I use that term loosely )college courses in the same useless crap.

One major problem re teaching, is that the methods that REALLY worked, were thrown out and replaced with stuff that simply DOES NOT WORK; hence we have generations, now, of very dumbed down morons.

Yes, many parents have abrogated their responsibilities.

No, I won't live to see a change...if there ever is one.

I'd call not seeing a doctor, when it is needed, STUPID; not stubbornness. But thank GOD that you listened to your wife; dying when you could have been saved, is a wasted life.

When my grandfather was a child ( maybe 8 or so ) he had appendicitis. This was a VERY long time ago and the doctor encouraged his mother to allow them to operate. They did and my grandfather was in the first 10, or so, who had that operation. Needless to say, he lived and thrived and I thank GOD that his mother was wise enough to have him operated on.

The doctored told her, he would die without the operation and while he "might die", during the operation, there was a good chance the he wouldn't.

I hope that you now always listen to your wife. :-)
