EXCLUSIVE: FBI ‘Granted FISA Warrant’ Covering Trump Camp’s Ties To Russia [2016]

Two separate sources with links to the counter-intelligence community have confirmed to Heat Street that the FBI sought, and was granted, a FISA court warrant in October, giving counter-intelligence permission to examine the activities of ‘U.S. persons’ in Donald Trump’s campaign with ties to Russia.

Contrary to earlier reporting in the New York Times, which cited FBI sources as saying that the agency did not believe that the private server in Donald Trump’s Trump Tower which was connected to a Russian bank had any nefarious purpose, the FBI’s counter-intelligence arm, sources say, re-drew an earlier FISA court request around possible financial and banking offenses related to the server. The first request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; SVB Bank and Russia’s Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons.

The FBI agents who talked to the New York Times, and rubbished the ground-breaking stories of Slate ( Franklin Foer) and Mother Jones (David Corn) may not have known about the FISA warrant, sources say, because the counter-intelligence and criminal sides of the FBI often work independently of each other employing the principle of ‘compartmentalization’.

The FISA warrant was granted in connection with the investigation of suspected activity between the server and two banks, SVB Bank and Alfa Bank. However, it is thought in the intelligence community that the warrant covers any ‘US person’ connected to this investigation, and thus covers Donald Trump...

If your backyard is full of rattlesnakes, they don’t rattle until you go out there to get them out.

The harassing, spying and leaking you mention is the sound of serpents rattling. They’ve been out there forever, silently dripping venom meant for you and me.

The only difference now is, we finally have someone in President Trump willing to wade into the grass wielding a machete, and a sharpened scythe.

I don't know how old you are.

I don't know how old you are either, but more importantly I don't know how much that you have really lived during your life.

I retired from a big city fire department after 25 years. A lot of that time is a blur, but the times I remember, the best times were the times that I faced great challenges and I overcame them and survived. I can't remember how many times my crews and I went into a house and put a fire out, but I can remember going into a house where the fire was so hot that my face was burned and I had to go to the hospital, but we stayed in and put the fire out anyway. I can remember sliding 40 feet down an icy roof hitting a flat spot and almost off the edge of a three story drop, but one of my crew members caught me. I used to hang glide but I don't remember all the times that I launched and flew around for hours on end, but I do remember when I jumped off a thousand foot cliff and it seemed like I fell weightlessly for a long time before my wing got up to flying speed. And I can't remember the thousands of hours that I have flown in our small airplanes, but I can remember flying through heavy rain, heavy turbulence and low visibility in the middle of the night with my wife sobbing that she would rather be giving birth again. All of those and many more are very good memories of my life.

If everything is going your way and there are no challenges it is not the best of anything. This election was the biggest election fight that I can remember, and our man fought it like no one has ever seen a politician fight before. He had strong opposition from the cheating Democrats, but also the “never Trumpers” and the establishment “on our side”, like Romney, McCain, Graham and the Bushes. And Trump with God's help pulled it off despite it all, and that is why it was the best election ever. But since that time the challenges just keep coming and our man just keeps fighting like no one before, and he keeps winning. And so yes I agree completely with those who keep saying that this is “The Best Election Ever”.

To shut him down. To make him a one-term failure. Certainly to keep the Leftist agenda marching forward.

Expecting the press to treat him fairly, and the democrats to join in bipartisan efforts to help the country is a fool’s errand.

The democrats expect to be in power and maintain it. When they get knocked down, they’re immediately working on getting back up and in charge again.

The GOPe is fine to get second fiddle if that allows them time at the pig trough.

Donald and the few stalwarts left in GOP just need to go it alone, and expose them all.

Who knows?

I thought Reagan would permanently change the world, and lucky for us he did kill the Soviets, or pushed the whole rotten edifice over. But the Left in America took up the Soviet banner under the flag of Progressivism, and are still hard at it.

To shut him down. To make him a one-term failure.

Their motives were to make him a no-termer. They failed.

The point to the thread is explaining what the key players did just prior to the election. Wiretap Trump was a last ditch effort. That back fired too.

The traditional democrat crybaby protest didn't cut it. They lost their ratings fast after Trump won the election. They simply became an annoyance.

The electronic surveillance of Trump by our own intelligence agencies was historic and desperate, and it failed. I Wonder if they have a final plan or final solution to destroy Trump?

Alright, I agree. I thought you meant their current plans.

But yup, they wanted to stop him. Hillary needed to be in to firebreak O’s legacy and the Globalist Davos Agenda.

To be honest, as far as the key players involved, I’d bet their current plans are consumed with saving their own butts.

Thanks, I guess, for reading my posts and frankly, I don't expect everyone to agree with me. You are more than welcome to have your own opinion...just NOT to use that dumb meme, if you don't want to look silly.

In '08, sadly, most of this nation said the same thing ( BEST ELECTION EVER ) and it wasn't! And to use it now, is meaningless.

I'm not as old as you are; however, I too remember when there was only radio ( but didn't listen to the news, as a toddler) and morning, afternoon, and evening newspapers to get news from.

We got our first T.V. in the summer of '49 and even though I was little, I did watch the news then; the beginning of my mother's KGB style indoctrination, to turn me into a news and political "junkie". :-)

This is nothing new...it's just THE worst of it, that I've EVER seen!

As I posted, they went after Mr. Nixon, FULL BORE, from the time he beat Helen Gahagan Douglas, for the Senate seat from California. He stood up to them, he fought back, but after 20+ plus years, they did finally get him.

They ramped it up re Palin and are still after her and her family, which is nuts!

It's early days and I hope and pray that Trump succeeds, but only time will tell.

In Venezuela the sitting president wiretaps the opposition party before an election.

I'm not trying to put you down, but EVERYONE has good times and bad times, that "test a man's soul", so to speak. Evey life has challenges and to not think so, is wrong. Even the most cozened and cosseted have problems and yes, times that challenge them in one way or another.

You don't remember or know anything about when Mr. Nixon was elected, I guess. Oh well.....

And hold you ancient ones in great respect.

Hope all is well with you, 5.56?

Nice of you to ask. The First lady and I are getting along well.

Never been called an “ancient one” before. I’ll take it as a compliment.

Thanks.

To say Nixon was as much a fighter as Trump is a hard case to make.

Not really.....

Never heard or read the "CHECKERS SPEECH" ?

Don't know what he did to Helen Gahagan Douglas ?

Don't know about when they tried to get Ike to boot him?

He had a different style than Trump, but he did fought back, a lot...just not enough. There was no cable, no net, no TWITTER, etc, back then, so there was just so much he could do.

Evey life has challenges and to not think so, is wrong. Even the most cozened and cosseted have problems and yes, times that challenge them in one way or another.

My wife gives presentations and creates incredible displays honoring veterans. One time a lady came up to her at an event where she had set up a large display and asked her what terrible thing had happened to her to cause her to be so driven. My wife was taken aback and didn't know how to respond... one of the very few times I have seen her unable to respond. But afterward we both realized that the question was a direct hit. My wife faced incredible hardship in her life from the time she was a small child.

Some people face incredible challenges and many others think that they have. And I will be the first to admit that despite surviving numerous close calls that I have not faced the challenges many that others have. That was not the point I was trying to make. In this country especially if you are lucky you can have a good long life and never face any major challenges. But, you don't get a ribbon for participation when you have lived 80 or 90 years and never done anything to challenge yourself.

You don't remember or know anything about when Mr. Nixon was elected, I guess. Oh well.....

Of course I can remember when Nixon was elected both times, and I felt that it was a very sad day when he resigned. You wanted to understand why people keep saying this was the best election ever. I tried to explain it to you... it is because Trump faced great challenges and won. He came from the outside and won. He is still facing incredible challenges and he is still fighting and still winning. Lets thank the media, the Obama, Hillary, the Never-Trumpers, the Bushes, McCain and Graham. If you want to continue fretting and worrying about the bad things that are still going on, that is your business. But this is the BEST ELECTION EVER and it is because of the challenges and the idiots creating them.

You explained NOTHING, patted yourself on the back, with both hands, so hard, you broke your arms, and still don't understand that Trump and we haven't "won" much at all...yet; nor why I mentioned Mr. Nixon ( I suggest that you a "good" bio of him/his life )or why that meme is stupid and ridiculous.

What one person can cope with, others can't. It doesn't make the person, who hits a wall and then makes it through, any less than the person who doesn't see whatever that is, as a "challenge".

We are talking at cross purposes, because you and admittedly a few others, can't or refuse to see the point I've been trying to make. So lets just leave it at...it's far too early to claim a "win" AND talking about "THE BEST ELECTION EVER" ( WHICH IT MOST ASSUREDLY ISN'T AND STUPID TO KEEP CLAIMING THAT, POST ELECTION, EARLY INTO TRUMP'S FIRST TERM! )at this point in time. Nobody knows what is to follow, nor whether or not Trump manages to persevere.

Okay?

You are the one who continues to willfully ignore anything that contradicts your doom and gloom point of view. The point that I have tried to make with you over and over and over and now over again... is that what makes a great election or a great anything in our lives is facing challenges, fighting the good fight and winning.

As far as Nixon goes... I admire the man's life and what he accomplished greatly. I do not believe he resigned because he gave up, I believe that he resigned because of his honor and because he thought that it was the best thing for the country.

I thank you for making my evening more amusing, and to commemorate our conversation I have changed my Tag Line to “The Best Election Ever!!!” This is not a phrase that I have used previously, but you have helped me realize that it is one that I should embrace. So thank you!
