Certainly appears that way. Plus, in a fast-moving situation you might want your key players to hang-back at HQ to monitor developments and release a few more nuggets timed to snap the trap shut.

So let’s all forget that Pubus yes Pubus was front and center in seeing Tea party members defeated. But hey as long as he’s with our guy it really doesn’t matter. And so you know the rules changes delegates were seeking had to do with the power structure in future conventions. The man is no better than a used car snake oil salesman and I stand by my comments. Having never accomplished anything in his life he’s ridden the coat tails of the winning horses. When it’s in the bag he places himself at the center as the architect. I have no energy for worms like this. He is establishment through and through

“”Actually, were I Trump, I’d feel the same way. Sessions had no grounds to recuse himself, and all it did was empower the Dems, who now want more.
The recusal creates the impression that there was dirt there, when there is not, and that the Dems might be right here, which they are not.””

You are 100% correct. I’m sure most of us here felt the same and said the same. Absolutely no reason for Sessions to have done that and he is a man I have admired for years. Kowtow to the dems - for what? Spineless IMO now.

Flushing out a leaker is a possibility. I think that the whole Sessions self recusal is for a lot of other reasons than we can only guess at. One being that by doing so, Sessions was not giving the rabid democrats anything they did not already have. He simply has gummed up the works as far as getting mileage on this recusal is involved. If he had not recused himself the rabids would have continued to claim that he had something to hide, in doing so he is also hiding something. Cannot win whatever the scenario. The Trump administration enemies, elected and media as well, fall into the category of none so blind as those who will not see. For many of them it is also a matter of being paid to be willfully blind.

Today Levin said Trump can “recess appoint an attorney general.” A previous post suggested Giuliani. Who should it be?

I’ll leave that to DJT. His judgment is a lot better than mine.

Are you afraid of a snake who comes in your path? Most of us are not. Growing up in India, I have killed a snake or two and a huge black scorpion who was lurking in the water pump room of my parents huge house. You just get rid of them and move on. They are just impediments, and obstructions.

You just proved my point, that Priebus is a CLEVER politician. And he was very useful to my main agenda, which is to help elect a nationalist, USA first president. I am done with career politicians, all of them, including the career politicians such as Rubio & Nikki Haley both of whom are tea partiers, who are beholden to their ultra rich donor class. And even people with pygmy brains know that economic interests of the ultra rich donor class and the vast hard working middle class are in direct conflict. I am siding with the middle class since most of my relatives & friends fall in that category.

:) I loved living in VT. No poisonous snakes. Saw only one on my lifetime, that I know of, and that was in MO.
