Furious Trump went ballistic at Priebus and Bannon, then stormed out the Oval Office (trunc)

Donald Trump erupted into a 'ballistic' Oval Office tirade against his senior staff for failing to fight off Sessions' recusal amid Russia links and told Priebus and Bannon they weren't flying on Air Force One to Florida, before storming out, reports have claimed.

The president was seemingly expecting a celebratory week following his praised speech to Congress on Tuesday but after a fresh round of Russia allegations, Trump was furious over the 'mini disaster' according to multiple accounts.

He was allegedly especially upset over Attorney General Jeff Sessions' decision to recuse himself from all FBI investigations regarding Russia on Thursday and took it out on his senior staff the next day. In his 'ballistic' rant, Trump gave his aides a verbal lashing and told chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon they wouldn't be accompanying him on Air Force One to Florida, before storming out on Friday.

Ever wonder why something comes up and people get the shakes and say trump’s WH is falling apart...he should’ve done this and he should do that...people sweat and worry and complain...

Then...A few days later, Trump comes out and just body slams the democrats and liberals....

People...get a grip...Trump knows exactly what he’s doing....

I’m thinking there’s a kernel of truth. Trump is frustrated, felt that these two were holding him back, and that strategy was failing.

Instead of talking about his major address “they (MSM)” talk about recusal, kneeling on couches and Russians.

Trump wanted the October wire tapping story out, and perhaps these two delayed. So Trump publishes that story himself.

We got another October Surprise, six months late.

Trump is frustrated but he needs to know they limits of controlling narratives in a country of free speech.

No, it's not. Fake news is when the media makes up a story, or embellishes a story in a way they know is inaccurate. Disinformation is when they accurately report on something that was given to them by an insider who gave them the information specifically to mislead them.

"I suspect it's actually disinformation put out there by the Trump team."

Could be. Shouldn't the AG recuse himself? Reason being that Jeff Sessions prosecuting the previous administration makes the US look like a banana republic. (Yes, it may be after the last 8 years!) Leaving it to DOJ and FBI professionals would look best.

Rush has nowhere near the aptitude of Steve Bannon.

And this is fake news.

The Republicans are still playing by the rules. They haven’t realized yet that the Democrats play with no rules.
Seems it has always been that way and always peeves me off.

Trump's agenda is being ground to a halt.

Right. The new immigration executive order is supposedly going to be released tomorrow.

This is what the Trump people were doing while everyone here was engaging in theatrics about Sessions resigning, Trump yelling at his staff, etc.

It's not the media that wants you to think Trump's agenda is being ground to a halt. It's Trump himself who wants everyone to think that ... while they go about getting things done.

“You have the story all wrong. After the events of the last 24 hours, Sessions’ recusal makes more sense than it did last Thursday.
The big story is now the Obama administration’s surveillance of Trump’s campaign last year. Sessions knew that there’s a damn good chance his own calls and e-mails were intercepted, which means he now be a witness in a grand jury proceeding where Obama officials are the targets of the investigation. “

That, my FRiend, is a very interesting take.

Sessions did not recuse himself from prosecuting the prior administration.

He only recused himself from investigating Russian influence with the Trump campaign.

Of course he should recuse himself. It's not just over that type of conflict of interest, either. The real story now involves Obama administration surveillance of the Trump campaign that almost certainly includes intercepted phone calls or e-mails to and from Sessions himself -- which means he can't prosecute the case because he might be a witness.

That’s too much salt for this piece of sh*t ‘news’.

Daily Call is making sh*t up.

Another Freeper stated what appears to be the real story. Jeff Sessions had to recuse himself because he was also tapped and will, therefore, be a WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION.

I agree. Who would be the leaker? Disinformation sends the twittersphere into a tizzy and that is fun in itself. Lots going on that requires a ? about the source and purpose.

But the Pom Pom dancers swore up and down that Pubus was such a changed person and Pubus would listen to Trump because Pubus has to follow what he says. Pubus was is and always will be a worm a dredge upon society and is establishment. He jockeys himself to winning horses never having accomplished a thing in his life.

Simply put Pubus is scum

Whoever had the bright idea of a hiring freeze in the government and especially in the WH ought to rethink that and get the course reversed ASAP. There is no way Trump can stave off a full-on impeachment onslaught — and run the government — with just a handful of aides in the WH.

They need more Trump loyalists (not people brought in by Priebus) and also more knowledgeable contributors. (E.g., the likes of Rudy and even Newt and Christie need to be lured in with at least guidance roles to get the team playing hardball in return.)

The idea of not fully staffing the WH with their own people—and bringing in GOPe/Ryan/Priebus types for what staffing they do—was just horrible.

Agreed. Priebus should never have been allowed through the front door, let alone given the most critical position in the WH admin.

Not only is he not competent (has never served in government!), but he is not on Trump’s side—however chummy chummy he pretends to be with Bannon.

Oh, I think you are SPOT ON!

I also think DJT knows exactly who, what, where, when and how he was wiretapped.

He seems to me to be the type of person who already knows the answer when he asks a question....
