Former President Obama on Saturday denied President Trump’s accusation that Obama had Trump Tower phones tapped in the weeks before the November 2016 election.
“Neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false," said Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for the former president.

Appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate misuse of warrants and electronic communications in the Obama administration.

Al Capone never “ordered” a hit. He just suggested to his people that certain named people might be better off out of his way. Then he could act all innocent when they ended up wearing cement water shoes.
This was done at the “suggestion” of Obama. There can be no doubt about that.
On top of that Loretta Lynch had to personally sign any FISA request.
Everyone is missing the point about Obama’s latest statement. The FISA court “cannot” approve a wiretap on a US citizen. Prriod. It can only approve a wiretap against a foreign entity. They do not have the authority to approve a wiretap against a US citizen. For Obama to state that “they did not request the FISA court to approve a wiretap on a US citizen” makes no sense. Of course they didnt. That is why the first request in June 2016 was turned down; Trump, a US citizen, was stated in the request. In the Oct request, they simply took out any reference to a US citizen and the FISA court approved it.
He’s smart to lay low.
And he might want to book a flight to a non-extradition nation.
